Outer cables disposed in a box girder in the longitudinal direction of a box girder bridge to prestress the box girder each have a transparent sheath made of a transparent polyethylene resin, vinyl chloride resin, polypropylene resin or the like, thereby allowing the grouting condition in the sheath to be inspected reliably and easily. If a colored grout is filled, the filling condition can be inspected even more reliably and easily. In addition, it is possible to readily find a portion left unfilled after the grout has hardened and to refill it for repairing by using openings for injection and ejection made at each side of the void left.

A coating material for a tendon for prestressed concrete includes a curing composition, the curing time of which is so controlled that the composition is held in an uncured fluid state for a predetermined time after the concrete hardens. After the predetermined time passes, the composition cures. By coating a tendon for prestressed concrete with the coating material having such properties, an antirust effect of the tendon, an improved adhering force of the tendon to the concrete and a decreased cost of manufacturing prestressed concrete can be obtained.

Industrial antifungal compositions of the present invention contain as active ingredients both the compounds represented by the general formula (I) and the compounds represented by the general formula (II), said general formulas being mentioned below. A joint made between prestressing strands with a prestressing strand coupler is covered with a transparent coupler sheath having a retarded-hardening resin filling material injection opening and discharge opening provided in a tube wall thereof, and a resin filling material is injected into the transparent coupler sheath from the injection opening to fill the coupler sheath with the filling material. Thereafter, the whole outer peripheral portion of the prestressing strand joint, including the coupler sheath, is embedded with placed concrete. Tension is applied to the prestressing strands after the concrete has hardened and before the resin filling material hardens, thereby completing an excellent prestressing strand joint structure. According to the present invention, the filling condition of the resin filling material in the coupler sheath around the prestressing strand joint can readily be confirmed by visual observation. Therefore, the operation of filling the filling material can be carried out completely. Further, the wedges present in the prestressing strand coupler are allowed to properly bite into the prestressing strands in response to the prestressing strand tensioning operation performed before the filling material hardens. Thus, a superior joint structure is provided.

A tendon for prestressed concrete structure comprises a core member such as a steel wire for prestressed concrete structures, a steel strand for prestressed concrete structures or a steel bar for prestressed concrete structures, and an unset bonding material coating the core structure in a predetermined thickness, having a specific setting time determined by selectively determining the respective contents of the ingredient of the bonding material and capable of setting at an ordinary temperature. The tendon is arranged in a desired arrangement for forming a prestressed concrete structure, concrete is placed so as to bury the tendons therein, and then the tendons are tensioned and fixed after the strength of the deposited concrete has increased to a degree to permit tensioning the tendons and before the unset bonding material sets. Thus, the unset bonding material sets after the tendons have been tensioned and fixed to bond the tendons firmly to the prestressed concrete structure.

A cable protecting tube having high transparency and allowing the filling condition of mortar therein to be visually observed from the outside as well as exhibiting high pressure resistance is provided. A cable protecting tube for accommodating a cable and for filling with mortar includes a protecting tube (1) having smooth inner and outer surfaces formed from an ionomer resin excellent in transparency, and a spiral or mesh-shaped reinforcing member (2) for reinforcing the protecting tube. The reinforcing member (2) may be buried in the protecting tube (1). The protecting tube (1) is not limited to the smooth-walled tube but may be a spirally corrugated tube.
