    Abstract: A vehicle battery charger including a charging base unit, a charging power supply disposed in the base unit, and a universal serial bus (USB) port disposed in the surface of the base unit are provided. The charging power supply provides charging power that is conveyed via cabling and a pair of battery terminal clamps to a battery needing charging. A secondary power supply disposed in the base unit and coupled to the USB port provides electrical power for powering and/or charging an external device that is coupled to the USB port.

    Abstract: Methods and devices are disclosed which apply an excitation-emission matrix (EEM) to a heterogeneous, two-dimensional sample, allowing a considerably larger number of emitting, e.g. fluorescent, labels to be used simultaneously. This may be accomplished by employing a spectroscopic method of excitation-emission matrices which allows discrimination of species with similar emission spectra, and also allows positive identification of energy transfer between emitting species. The methods and devices may employ a novel excitation-light scanning technique which allows imaging of the emission from the heterogeneous sample both in two spatial dimensions (length and width) and in two spectral dimensions (excitation and emission wavelength). This light scanning technique maximizes the throughput of excitation light, increasing the sensitivity and hence the reading speed of the instrument.

    Abstract: A rotatable greens drying device that includes a lid, a rotatable colander, a drive mechanism for rotating the colander, and a receiving ring fan which transfers rotational force from the drive mechanism to the rotatable colander. The fast moving, drier air circulated by the receiving ring fan naturally helps evaporate moisture from the surface of the greens and it helps expel water through container holes. This embodiment also allows air exposure of the leafy contents via the perforations within the spinning colander which further reduces surface moisture.
