    Abstract: A steering column for a motor vehicle may include a casing unit in which a steering spindle is mounted rotatably about a longitudinal axis that extends in a longitudinal direction. The casing unit has at least two casing tubes that have a polygonal cross section and are guided such that they can be adjusted relative to one another in the longitudinal direction. Rolling bodies that have a rolling body radius are arranged between the casing tubes such that the rolling bodies can roll in the longitudinal direction in at least three raceways that are distributed circumferentially. To increase rigidity and improve compactness, center points of the rolling bodies are at a radial spacing that is less than or equal to the rolling body radius from an envelope circle that circumscribes the casing tube, on which the rolling bodies can roll on the outside.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a process for separating a hydrocarbon-containing feedstock stream by extractive distillation, wherein the feedstock stream is contacted with a water-soluble solvent for aromatics in countercurrent. An aliphatics fraction is distillatively removed as aliphatics product stream from the mixture obtained. The aromatics are stripped from the aromatics-enriched solvent that remains and the aromatics-depleted solvent is recycled in a solvent circuit, with compounds having a lower boiling point compared to the solvent accumulating in the solvent circuit as impurities. At least a substream of the solvent circuit is purified for removal of the impurities, wherein the substream for the purifying is subjected to a thermal separation process, in which the impurities are at least partly discharged in a top product and the purified solvent that remains is recycled into the solvent circuit. An apparatus for carrying out the process is also disclosed.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a process for producing ammonia, wherein a hydrocarbon mixture and steam are supplied to a primary reformer. The hydrocarbon mixture and the steam are at least partly converted to carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the primary reformer. The gas mixture from the primary reformer is directed into a secondary reformer. The secondary reformer is supplied with process air, at least comprising oxygen and nitrogen, such that unconverted hydrocarbon is converted to carbon monoxide and hydrogen. In examples, the firing output of the primary reformer is increased, the oxygen content of the process air is reduced before the process air is directed into the secondary reformer.

    Abstract: The present invention concerns a sliding cam system for an internal combustion engine having at least one camshaft, an adjustment element and at least one actuator.     Abstract: A steering column for a motor vehicle having a steering shaft mounted in a steering column tube so as to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis and a damping device. The damping device has an element which is stationary in relation to the steering column tube and a rotatable element which is coupled in terms of rotation to the steering shaft. The rotatable element is rotatable relative to the stationary element about an axis of rotation. A damping fluid is arranged between the rotatable and the stationary element. The steering column thus permits operationally reliable damping of the steering shaft in a steering system. At least two surfaces of the rotatable element are provided, which are parallel to the axis of rotation, are in contact with the damping fluid, and are arranged so as to be spaced apart coaxially from one another.

    Abstract: An electromechanical power steering system for a vehicle may include a worm that can be driven rotationally about a drive axis by an electric motor, that interacts with a worm gear that is coupled to a steering shaft, and that is mounted such that it can be rotated about the drive axis in a bearing that is held in a holder. The holder may be movable relative to the worm gear. To make a decreased development of noise possible, the holder has a core element that is made from a core material and is connected to at least one contact element. The contact element may be made from a soft material that can be deformed elastically more easily and is softer relative to the core material.

The actuating device may have an actuating drive for a brake application movement of a brake part for a service brake function. The actuating device has a force cartridge with a prestressed spring and with a ramp bearing as the energy recovery unit The ramp bearing may be fastened to the actuating drive on one side and to the spring on the other side. The force cartridge is fitted on a line of force action of the actuating drive and interacts with the actuating drive such that a force component for assisting the actuating drive is provided in a manner dependent on an adjustment position of the actuating drive.
