摘要: The present invention relates to methods, systems and kits for the diagnosis, prognosis and the determination of progression of cancer in a subject. The invention also provides biomarkers that define subgroups of prostate cancer, clinically useful classifiers for distinguishing prostate cancer subtypes, bioinformatic methods for determining clinically useful classifiers, and methods of use of each of the foregoing. The methods, systems and kits can provide expression-based analysis of biomarkers for purposes of subtyping prostate cancer in a subject. Further disclosed herein, in certain instances, are probe sets for use in subtyping prostate cancer in a subject. Classifiers for subtyping a prostate cancer are provided. Methods of treating cancer based on molecular subtyping are also provided.

摘要: A system for predicting aggressive driving behavior for a driver of a vehicle includes a first edge computing device that can acquire spatial-temporal data for the vehicle from one or more sensors that are part of traffic infrastructure. The first edge computing device includes a processor and instructions executable by the processor that execute deep learning methods on the data from the sensors to cluster the data as a driving score. A trained model is applied to the driving score to determine an aggressive driving behavior risk level, and the first edge computing device is configured to predict the aggressive driving behavior based on the aggressive driving behavior risk level.

摘要: Methods and devices for producing cavitation in tissue are provided. In one embodiment, a shock scattering method of Histotripsy therapy comprises delivering an initiation pressure waveform from an ultrasound therapy transducer into tissue, the initiation pressure waveform being configured to produce at least one bubble in the tissue, delivering a scattering pressure waveform from the ultrasound therapy transducer into the at least one bubble within a life-cycle of the at least one bubble, and producing cavitation nuclei near the at least one bubble with the scattering pressure waveform. The scattering pressure waveform can be delivered during the life-cycle of the at least one bubble. In some embodiments, the scattering pressure waveform is delivered within 5 μs to 1 s of the initiation pressure waveform. Systems for performing shock scattering Histotripsy therapy are also discussed.

摘要: A method is presented for generating an ion beam. The method includes: positioning atoms in a cavity of an optical resonator that defines an optical dipole trap; exciting the atoms while the atoms are trapped in the optical dipole trap using two or more laser beams, thereby forming ions; and driving the ions along an output axis towards a target by applying an electric field to the ions. In one aspect, the ion density of the ion source is regulated, for example using feedback control. Changing the ion density may be achieved, for example by inputting the atomic excitation spectrum into a feedback loop and controlling the power of the two or more laser beams using feedback from the feedback loop.

摘要: An adjustable electromagnetic energy converter comprises a body of transparent insulating material, a plurality of stacked identical electromagnetic energy converting cells, and a heat transfer system. Methods are herein provided for determining a configuration to which to adjust the converter and optimizing its performance. The methods comprise first determining electrical outputs of a first and a second configuration of the converter, comparing the electrical outputs, and determining whether to adjust the converter from the first configuration to the second configuration. To optimize the performance of the converter, the following configuration characteristics can be adjusted: electromagnetic energy collection area or orientation of the body of transparent insulating material, angle between adjacent cells, angle between the cells relative to the incoming electromagnetic energy, or spacing between adjacent cells.

摘要: A device for wound irrigation and debridement includes a body extending along a longitudinal axis. The body comprises an interior region and an opening such that that the interior region and the first opening are configured to transfer an irrigation fluid. The body comprises a compliant region having a first stiffness and a debridement region having a different second stiffness. The compliant region defines a distal surface. In a first configuration, the compliant region defines a first axial dimension, the distal surface engages a target body region, and the debridement region is axially offset from the distal surface and disengaged from the target body region. In a second configuration, the compliant region is compressed to define a second axial dimension less than the first axial dimension, thereby engaging the debridement region with the target body region, and the distal surface engages the target body region.

摘要: In Multi-Policy Decision-Making (MPDM), many computationally-expensive forward simulations are performed in order to predict the performance of a set of candidate policies. In risk-aware formulations of MPDM, only the worst outcomes affect the decision making process, and efficiently finding these influential outcomes becomes the core challenge. Recently, stochastic gradient optimization algorithms, using a heuristic function, were shown to be significantly superior to random sampling. In this disclosure, it was shown that accurate gradients can be computed-even through a complex forward simulation—using approaches similar to those in dep networks. The proposed approach finds influential outcomes more reliably, and is faster than earlier methods, allowing one to evaluate more policies while simultaneously eliminating the need to design an easily-differentiable heuristic function.
