摘要： The exhaust gas purification device includes a substrate, a first catalyst layer, and a second catalyst layer. The substrate includes an upstream end, a downstream end, and a porous partition wall defining a plurality of cells extending between the upstream end and the downstream end. The plurality of cells include an inlet cell opening at the upstream end and sealed at the downstream end, and an outlet cell adjacent to the inlet cell sealed at the upstream end and opening at the downstream end. The first catalyst layer is disposed on a surface of the partition wall in an upstream region. In a downstream region, the second catalyst layer is disposed inside the partition wall, and a second catalyst-containing wall including the partition wall and the second catalyst layer has a porosity of 35% or more.

摘要： An exhaust gas purification device suppresses a pressure loss increase and includes a honeycomb substrate and inflow cell side catalyst layer. The substrate includes a porous partition wall defining several cells extending from an inflow side end surface to an outflow side end surface. The cells include an inflow and outflow cell adjacent across the wall. The inflow cell has an open inflow side end and sealed outflow side end. The outflow cell has a sealed inflow side end and open outflow side end. The catalyst layer is on an inflow cell side surface in an region extending from the inflow side end positioned 10% or more of the partition wall length. At this position, a filled portion of the inflow cell side catalyst layer pores are 40% or less. The pores are present to a depth of 50% of a thickness of the partition wall.

摘要： A sheet processing apparatus includes: a staple tray on which sheets are stacked temporarily and stapled after being aligned together and from which the stapled sheets are discharged to a discharge tray; a discharger to discharge the sheets to the staple tray; a rear end reference against which rear ends of the sheets are abutted to be aligned together; a returner to return the sheets discharged by the discharger and to align the sheets together in a conveying direction based on the rear end reference fence; a lifter to lift and lower the returner with respect to a sheet; and a guide configured to guide the sheets toward the rear end reference fence when the sheets are returned and to be lifted and lowered in synchronization with the lifting and lowering by the lifter.

摘要： A continuous hot rolling mill with a metal block conveying apparatus and a metal block joining apparatus which moves with the metal blocks along the metal block conveying apparatus to conform a joining operation. The metal block conveying apparatus uses rollers supported by cylinders with a common hydraulic circuit which allows the cylinders to follow guide rails on the metal block joining apparatus and lower out of the path of the metal block joining apparatus and then return to a metal block support position after the metal block joining apparatus' passage without individual control circuits and valves for each of the cylinders.

摘要： The invention comprises a continuous hot rolling method in which a rear end portion of a preceding metal block and a fore end portion of a succeeding metal block are cut and the metal blocks are joined to each other by heating and pressing followed by a finish rolling. A region of each metal block is restrained from a clamping position to the end portion thereof in order to prevent a change in level of the metal blocks in heating and pressing the piece. The end portions of the metal blocks can be thus prevented from deformation.

摘要： An apparatus for joining metal pieces using induction heating. Preceding and succeeding metal pieces are followed by a carriage which carries an inductor. The inductor has the ability to move in the longitudinal direction of the metal pieces relative to the carriage to allow the inductor to move more or less upon the preceding or succeeding metal pieces to increase or decrease the induction heating effect, thereby taking into account any thickness variation of the metal pieces and yet still heating them evenly with regard to each other, prior to their being pressed against each other for joining before hot finishing rolling.

摘要： A method of correcting NOx sensor includes the steps of preparing a corrective map in advance, finding an existing proportion of NO or NO2 in a mixture of NOx in exhaust gases before coming into an NOx sensor, and correcting an NOx concentration that the NOx sensor detects actually. The corrective map records relationships between temperature physical quantities that are relevant to a temperature of the exhaust gases, oxygen-concentration physical quantities that are relevant to an oxygen concentration in the exhaust gases, and the existing proportion. The existing proportion is found with reference to the corrective map using the temperature physical quantities and oxygen-concentration physical quantities that are detected actually. The NOx concentration is corrected on the basis of not only the existing proportion but also a difference between an NO2 diffusion velocity and an NO diffusion velocity.

摘要： According to the invention, the rear end of a preceding metal piece and a front end of a succeeding metal piece are heated, pressed and joined prior to the finishing hot rolling. An alternating magnetic field running through the metal pieces in the thickness direction thereof is generated in an end region on opposed faces of the respective metal pieces to perform heating. Another alternating magnetic field whose direction is reverse with respect to that of the former alternating magnetic field is partially generated in the end region on the opposed faces of the metal pieces and in either a region where the metal pieces exist or a region outside width ends of the metal pieces. This assures a uniform heating of the end region on the opposed faces of the metal pieces over their full width to reliably join the both metal pieces to each other.
