摘要: An aqueous bath suitable for electrodepositing zinc and alloys of zinc including zinc-nickel, zinc-cobalt, zinc-nickel-cobalt, zinc-iron, zinc-iron-nickel, and zinc-iron-cobalt containing a brightening amount of an AB-type polyamide brightener in an amount effective to produce an electrodeposit of the desired brightness. The invention further contemplates the process of electrodepositing zinc and zinc alloys of the foregoing types on a conductive substrate employing the aqueous electrolyte.

摘要: A process and bath for electropolishing and brightening aluminum and aluminum alloys. The bath preferably contains from about 30 percent to about 95 percent phosphoric acid and from about five percent to about 70 percent of a poly (alkylene ether). A minor amount, generally from about 0.05 to about two percent, of a wetting agent may be added to the bath if desired. The bath forms a protective foamy film over the part being electroplated, thereby protecting the part against chemical attack by the bath. Further, the polyether additives are chemically and thermally stable in the electrolyte under normal bath operating conditions. The bath may be operated at low voltages ranging from about 15 to 100 volts.

摘要: A storage area network management application operates using agents for management of resources. Authenticity is verified in installing an agent on a host computer system in the storage area network. A file is identified for use in installing the agent. The file is signed to produce a digital signature for the file. A certificate is sent to a recipient for use in verifying authenticity of information. The file and digital signature are sent to the recipient. At the recipient, the certificate and the digital signature are used to verify the file. An agent installation operation is performed, using the file, to install the agent on the host computer system.

摘要: An agent installer operates to install an agent on a plurality of host computer systems using a bulk automated installation process that identifies at least one agent to be installed on a plurality of host computer systems and performs prerequisite checking of each of the plurality of host computer systems to determine which host computer systems of the plurality of host computer system are capable of supporting operation of the at least one agent. For each host computer system of the plurality of host computer systems that is capable of supporting operation of the at least one agent, the agent installer performs an automated bulk agent installation operation to install the at least one agent on that host computer system.

摘要: An improved aqueous acidic zinc electrolyte and process for electrodepositing zinc on a conductive substrate in which the electrolyte contains a brightening amount of a bath soluble anionic sulfated polyoxyalkylene surfactant derived from the sulfation of:(a) the polymerization of alkylene oxides selected from the group consisting of ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, glycidol, butylene oxide and mixtures thereof; and(b) the alkoxylation of mono and polyhydroxy compounds having radicals selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl containing alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, and carboxylic derivatives thereof as well as mixtures thereof.The zinc electrolyte can further contain conventional additives and agents of the types employed in acid zinc electrolytes to provide modifications and desired characteristics of the zinc electrodeposit.

The electroplating solution further can incorporate conventional constituents and supplemental additives of the types well known in the art.

摘要: An aqueous acidic electrolyte of the chloride, sulfate and mixed chloride-sulfate types suitable for electrodepositing a zinc-nickel alloy on a conductive substrate comprising an aqueous solution containing zinc ions and nickel ions, and an additive agent of a class selected from the group consisting of (a) aromatic sulfonic acids, (b) aromatic sulfonamides, sulfonimides and mixed carboxamides/sulfonamides, (c) acetylene alcohols as well as the bath soluble and compatible salts and mixtures thereof. The invention further encompasses the process for electrodepositing a zinc-nickel alloy employing the aforementioned electrolyte.
