    摘要: Disclosed herein are a sentence translation apparatus and method. The sentence translation apparatus includes a voice recognition unit, a morphemic part-of-speech tagging unit, a pause extraction unit, and a sentence separation unit. The voice recognition unit creates a sentence in a first language based on results of recognition of a voice in a first language. The morphemic part-of-speech tagging unit tags morphemic parts of speech from the sentence in the first language. The pause extraction unit extracts pause information from the voice in the first language. The sentence separation unit separates the sentence in the first language based on information about the morphemic parts of speech tagged by the morphemic part-of-speech tagging unit and the pause information extracted by the pause extraction unit.

    摘要: An idle address controller for a shared buffer type ATM switch controls the addresses of output cells in a common memory to be stored directly in an idle address buffer without passing through the conventional idle address delay controller, by improving the idle address control scheme of a unit switch. The idle address controller includes an idle address control signal generator for generating idle address control signals based on the buffer length information from counters, idle address control signal buffers for storing the idle address control signals, and an idle address control signal multiplexer. Therefore, the idle addresses can be efficiently provided, and this mechanism lowers cell loss and reduces required memory capacity.

    摘要: Provided are an apparatus and method for speech segment detection, and a system for speech recognition. The apparatus is equipped with a sound receiver and an image receiver and includes: a lip motion signal detector for detecting a motion region from image frames output from the image receiver, applying lip motion image feature information to the detected motion region, and detecting a lip motion signal; and a speech segment detector for detecting a speech segment using sound frames output from the sound receiver and the lip motion signal detected from the lip motion signal detector. Since lip motion image information is checked in a speech segment detection process, it is possible to prevent dynamic noise from being misrecognized as speech.
