    Abstract: An audio customization system operates to enhance a user's audio environment. A user may wear headphones and specify what portion the ambient audio and/or source audio will be transmitted to the headphones or the personal speaker system. The audio signal may be enhanced by application of a spatialized transformation using a spatialization engine such as head-related transfer functions so that at least a portion of the audio presented to the personal speaker system will appear to originate from a particular direction. The direction may be modified in response to movement of the personal speaker system.

    Abstract: A system and method are provided for determining surface defects of an object under study. A photographic tool is employed to produce real-time blending of a series of images of a static object where each of the individual images are illuminated under a different lighting condition with respect to the static object. The achieved effect is similar to what is experienced when looking at a painted surface from different perspectives in order to see if there are any imperfections. For example, in the case of automotive photography, paint problems, sheen differences, scratches, dents, and small dings may only be visible when the vehicle is lit from a specific or correct angle.

    Abstract: An audio source location, tracking and isolation system, particularly suited for use with person-mounted microphone arrays. The system increases capabilities by reducing resources required for certain functions so those resources can be utilized for result enhancing processes. A wide area scan may be utilized to identify the general vicinity of an audio source and a narrow scan to locate pinpoint positions may be initiated in the general vicinity identified by the wide area scan. Subsequent locations may be anticipated by compensating for motion of the sensor array and anticipated changes in source location by trajectory. Identification may use two or more sets of characterizations and rules. The characterizations may use computationally less intense analyses to characterize audio and only perform computationally higher intensity analysis if needed. Rule sets may be used to eliminate the need to track audio sources that emit audio to be eliminated from an audio output.

    Abstract: A mobile arched telescopic deployable stage system. The system has a stage portion, with a main stage portion and a plurality of extension stage portions. The extension stage portions are hinged to the main stage portion and deployable from an undeployed, folded state to a deployed, flat state. Deployable legs extend under the stage portion. The system has an arched frame portion with a right side section and a left side section, each having a lower arched portion and an upper arched portion. In a shorter, undeployed state, the upper arched portion is unextended from the lower arched portion. In longer, deployed state the upper arched portion extends from the lower arched portion. Terminal ends of the upper arched portions are pivotally attached to each other, and each of the lower arched portions being pivotally attachable at lower ends thereof to the stage portion. Raising devices raise the arched frame portion from the stage portion.

    Abstract: A modular lighting fixture is provided for use in photographic chambers that provides a combination of high flux, the ability to place/tuck the lighting fixture against a wall, and the ability to flash/tune the lighting fixture dynamically. The lighting fixture is based on light emitting diode elements to provide an energy efficient light source that generates far less heat than traditional mercury arc based lamps. The lighting fixture is modular and can be daisy chained to supply power and/or control signals to multiple attached lighting fixtures. Individual lighting fixtures may be joined together to form an array of lighting fixtures. The lighting fixtures may utilize the digital multiplex DMX512 standard for digital communication networks for controlling the lighting elements within the fixtures.
