摘要: A telecommunication and multimedia management apparatus and method that supports voice and other media communications and that enables users to: (i) participate in multiple conversation modes, including live phone calls, conference calls, instant voice messaging or tactical communications; (ii) review the messages of conversations in either a live mode or a time-shifted mode and to seamlessly transition back and forth between the two modes; (iii) participate in multiple conversations either concurrently or simultaneously; (iv) archive the messages of conversations for later review or processing; and (v) persistently store media either created or received on the communication devices of users. The latter feature enables users to generate or review media when either disconnected from the network or network conditions are poor and to optimize the delivery of media over the network based on network conditions and the intention of the users participating in conversations.

摘要: A method for assembling a theater and a theater. The method includes assembling a modular auditorium on a surface within a building structure by providing a plurality of nominal inventory portions. Each nominal inventory portions includes a prefabricated base portion, and a prefabricated tier section for assembly to the base portion. The prefabricated base portion is positioned on a ground surface of a public performance space. The prefabricated tier section is fastened to the prefabricated base portion to form a self supporting structure that does not require lateral support from a building structure other than the ground surface.

摘要: An urban transformation and construction method is disclosed that creates a tropical style swimming lagoon at vacant and/or abandoned sites. The transformation includes demolishing at least part of the vacant or abandoned site, excavating material from within the site; forming a basin for a large water body having a surface area of at least 3,000 m2, and constructing water containment walls on a first section of the basin to form a waterfront perimeter. The shape of the waterfront perimeter is mainly curved, the basin has a maximum width of 300 meters, and the bottom is covered with a non-permeable material. A sloped access area is constructed in a second section of the basin to form a beach. A barrier is constructed to control access into the area including the beach. At least one recreational facility is constructed including restaurants, bars, kiosks, stores, and/or cafes about the waterfront perimeter.

摘要: A scissor lift (100) for use in a stage assembly includes a base portion (110) configured to be supported on a floor or other support surface and a top portion (120) configured to support a platform. A scissor arm assembly (130) connects the base portion (110) and the top portion, and a rigid chain lifting system (150) comprising a rigid chain (151) connecting the base portion (110) and the top portion (120). Extension and retraction of the rigid chain (151) causes the top portion (120) to rise and fall with respect to the base portion (110). The use of a rigid chain lifting system (150) means that the scissors (130) are provided for guidance rather than applying load. The scissor lift (100) can be used in conjunction with one or more passive scissors (200), couplable to the scissor lift (100).

摘要: A front-aisle step that is integral with a deck of a bleacher and disposed in a bleacher access-aisle is disclosed. The first deck includes a deck surface having a deck surface height above a support surface and the front-aisle step has a front-aisle step surface having a height above the support surface that is less than the deck surface height. The front-aisle step has a front edge that is co-extensive with or recessed from a forward edge of the bleacher. In one embodiment a reversible platform is disposed in the access-aisle and in a first mounting orientation provides a front-aisle step surface at a height below the first deck surface and in a second mounting orientation in which the reversible platform is inverted from the first mounting orientation, the reversible platform provides a front-aisle step surface at a height generally co-planar with the first deck surface.
