Abstract:
A folder device that can be converted from parallel fold to delta fold, and the pre-fold of which is also convertible. The device includes cylindrical segments respectively, that are turned relative to one another by two planetary gear trains, which are adjustable relative to one another, so that the respective transmissions of the planetary gear trains balance one another. The adjustment of the cylindrical segments is carried out in dependence on the adjustment of the planetary gear trains.
Abstract:
A high electrical power is input in a gas-swept electrical discharge for gas laser by controlling with a high electrical efficiency and without dissipative resistance. A discharge chamber is swept through with a gas at a high velocity wherein transverse to the flow direction, the gas discharge burns as a steady-field discharge between an anode and several cathodes opposite the anode. These are disposed in tandem in the flow direction. Power is supplied to each individual cathode by means of a fast, independently controlled switched-mode power supply unit constant current characteristics wherein the current is supplied to the switched-mode power supply unit by series-connected partial voltage sources of the cathodes. A pre-ionization device is provided on the flow bounding surface of the discharge chamber.
Abstract:
A bearing assembly for an inking or wetting device of a printing press which quickly adjusts and readjusts a position of a first roller against a second and third roller includes a movable carrier plate on which a bearing assembly holding the first roller is mounted. The carrier plate rests against couplings of quadrilateral mechanisms which are positioned in relation to stops on bearings of the second and third rollers. As the position of the second and third rollers is adjusted for wear, the carrier plate follows the stops via the couplings so that the first roller automatically follows the second and third rollers during operation.
Abstract:
A bearing assembly for a roller of an inking or wetting device includes a drive device that moves in a first direction to move a roller holder holding a roller from a print ready to an away position. The drive device also moves in a second direction to lock the roller holder onto a base of the bearing assembly at the print ready position. A spring urges the roller holder toward the print ready position when the drive device is inactive.
Abstract:
The invention provides an aid for threading a printing-material web or part printing-material webs which are produced from the printing-material web by a longitudinal cutting device. The aid enables threading by a threading apparatus even in the region of offset bars. For this purpose, guide bars are introduced into the web course during the threading operation. The printing-material web is threaded through the offset bars but wraps around these guide bars instead of the offset bars. The guide bars are then either withdrawn from or pivoted out of the web course so that the printing-material web can be pulled taut on the guide bars. Likewise, it is also possible for offset bars mounted on one side to undertake the function of the guide bars during the insertion operation.
