    摘要: The present disclosure provides a liquid crystal lens, a controlling method thereof and a 3-Dimensional (3D) display using the same. The liquid crystal lens includes a pair of electrode structures which are arranged apart from each other; and a liquid crystal layer which is arranged between the pair of electrode structures and includes a plurality of liquid crystal molecules aligned in an initial aligning direction in which the liquid crystal layer has a non-lens effect. The pair of electrode structures are arranged to generate a first electric field which is used to change aligning directions of the liquid crystal molecules to make the liquid crystal layer have a lens effect. The pair of electrode structures are further arranged to generate a second electric field which is used to make the liquid crystal molecules revert to the initial aligning direction.

The power supply device provides a maintenance voltage at an output terminal to a system chip of a system and includes a first battery, a capacitor, a charging circuit, and a monitoring circuit. The first battery provides a battery voltage. The capacitor stores a capacitor voltage. The charging circuit is coupled to the capacitor. The monitoring circuit detects whether the battery voltage is less than a first threshold and whether the capacitor voltage is larger than a second threshold and generates a control signal according to the determination result. When the monitoring circuit detects that the battery voltage is less than the first threshold and the capacitor power supply device voltage is not larger than the second threshold, the monitoring circuit asserts the control signal to control the charging circuit to charge the capacitor.

    摘要: An angle-limiting hinge has a stationary leaf, a pivoting leaf, a pintle and a limiting element. The pintle is mounted statically in the stationary leaf and rotatably in the pivoting leaf, thereby allowing the leaves to rotate relative to each other and the pintle has a limit. The limit is C-shaped, formed diametrically around the pintle and comprises two ends being positive stops. The limiting element is mounted around the pintle and is secured to the pivoting leaf and has a limiting block mounted securely in the limiting element using riveting. The limiting block is disposed between the positive stops of the limit to limit relative rotational angles of the leaves. Accordingly, the angle-limiting hinge fastens and facilitates fabrication and is capable of limiting the rotational angle of the leaves.

    摘要: A variable friction hinge is mounted between a cover and a base of an electronic device and has a pintle, a stationary leaf and a washer assembly. The pintle is connected to the cover. The stationary leaf is connected to the base and has an activating panel with an activating edge. The washer assembly has a movable washer, an abrasion washer and a biasing member. The movable washer selectively abuts the activating edge of the activating panel and has an elongated hole slidably mounted securely around the pintle. The movable and the abrasion washers have teeth corresponding to and selectively engaging each other, causing less friction when engaged and more friction when disengaged. When rotated the movable washer selectively disengages the teeth causing the hinge to have greater friction when being rotated one way than the other.
