Abstract: A raised platform for microwave cooking of a food product includes legs that extend to elevate a food product support surface above the floor of a microwave oven during cooking. At least one fold line extends across the food product support surface about which the food product support surface and any food product thereon can be folded. Susceptor material of the food product support surface is disposed on both sides of a fold region of the support surface and extends on both sides of the at least one fold line. The fold region is substantially free from the susceptor material allowing a food product heated on the food product surface to remain flexible to permit folding of the food product with reduced cracking or breaking. The raised platform may further include a second susceptor material disposed on a bottom surface of the food product support surface.

Abstract: A perishable food package having a semi-rigid or rigid bottom tray and a flexible top portion is provided for storing a perishable food product therein. The food product can be vacuum sealed within a first layer of film, such as an inner film layer, inside the tray. The vacuum sealed food product can be tightly sealed such that any loose food particles can be restrained from moving around during storage and transportation. The tray can then be sealed at an opening by a second layer of film, such as an outer layer. A space filled with gas is present between the first and second layers of film and can aid in conserving the freshness of the food product and minimizing or preventing damage to the product. Additionally, the package can have support features positioned at an exterior of the package that aid in standing the package in an upright position.

Abstract: A nozzle attachment for removing residual material retained on the dispensing nozzle of a fluid dispenser, having a retainer adapted to releasably attach the nozzle attachment to a dispensing nozzle, and a pair of hollow-bodied nozzle attachment components that define, when nested together, an intervening space useful as a gas passageway for pressurized gaseous fluid introduced and directed to a discharge opening at a lower axial end of the nested nozzle attachment components. The gas passageway is adapted to emit gas introduced into the gas passageway as a gas stream in a manner effective to remove residual material clinging to the nozzle. Dispensers using the nozzle attachment are presented, including one using a truncated valve head.

Abstract: An improvement in a water chiller of the kind used for industrial processes such as electrical discharge machining (EDM). The chiller includes a reservoir for water (frequently de-ionized water), an evaporator, refrigerating apparatus such as a condenser and a compressor, and a pump; there is a supply line connection to an electrical discharge machining apparatus or other industrial process apparatus, and a return line connection. The pressure in the return line is usually lower than the pressure in the supply line. The improvement includes a fitting connected in series in the supply line and a bypass line connected to that fitting to afford a bypass flow of water in parallel with the process apparatus. A flow-limiting orifice member in series in the bypass line limits the bypass flow to a predetermined rate; the rate may be determined by the pressure differential between the supply and return lines. All fittings are formed of non-ionizing resins such as nylon; the orifice member is stainless steel. There is no valve in the bypass.
