    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a thin film of a metal-silicon compound and a process for producing the thin film of the metal-silicon compound. The metal-silicon compound has, as a unit structure, a transition metal-containing silicon cluster in which an energy gap EHL between highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) is wide.The present invention relates to a thin film of a metal-silicon compound and a process for producing the thin film of the metal-silicon compound. The metal-silicon compound is a compound of a transition metal and silicon, and has a transition metal-containing silicon cluster as a unit structure, the transition metal-containing silicon cluster having a structure in which a transition metal atom is surrounded by seven to sixteen silicon atoms, two of which are first and second neighbor atoms to the transition metal atom.

    摘要: A mandrel has a main body having a substantially-cone-shape. The main body has, on its circumferential surface, a spiral-shaped groove at which the glass tube to be wound is held. The groove, in cross section, has a contact range in which the glass tube's circumferential surface is in contact. One end of the contact range corresponds to a circumference part of the glass tube in wound state which is closest to the axis of the main body of the mandrel, a part of the groove that extends from the circumference part towards the apex of the main body is parallel to the axis of the mandrel, and the pitch of the groove in the axial direction of the mandrel is formed smaller than the outer diameter of the glass tube. The glass tube wound on the mandrel is easily removed from the main body by lowering the mandrel. In the arc tube formed in such a way, any two glass tube portions, which are adjacent to each other in the axial direction of the arc tube, overlap with each other.

The arc tube includes an arc tube main body formed by winding a glass tube, and an electrode fixed to the end portion of the arc tube main body. For this electrode, the electrode mount is used. The fixing of the electrode mount at the end portion of the arc tube main body is made at a region of the lead wires positioned between the filament coil and the bead glass, and the bead glass is disposed outside the arc tube main body.

    摘要: A low-pressure mercury lamp has: an arc tube formed by an arc-tube body in helical configuration, and electrodes provided at respective ends of the arc-tube body; and bases supplying power to the electrodes. The arc-tube body is made of a glass tube winding around an axis A while moving into a direction of the axis A. Ends of the glass tube are positioned away from each other with the winding part therebetween in the direction of the axis A. An outer diameter of the winding part seen in the direction of the axis A is within a range of 16 mm to 38 mm.
