The sensor cap includes a sensor holder for holding a magnetic sensor. The nut is made of steel, and has a screw portion in which a bolt is screwed to attach the magnetic sensor to the sensor cap. A surface of the nut is coated with a zinc-nickel alloy plating layer with a nickel eutectic ratio of 8 to 18%.

摘要: A magnetic encoder in which a support member and a plastic magnet do not adhere to each other is manufactured using a mold. The plastic magnet has a turning molded portion on the outer circumferential side thereof. The gate of the mold is an inner-diameter-side disk gate and a length L thereof in the axial direction is in a range of 0.2 mm≤L≤0.6 mm. The tensile strength of the material of the plastic magnet is 65 MPa or more and the Young's modulus thereof is 4000 MPa or more and 15000 MPa or less. The method includes a step of opening the mold and placing the support member as an insert object in the mold, and a step of closing the mold and injecting a melted material of the plastic magnet into a cavity through the disk gate.

The distance measurement unit measures a distance from the reference position to a subsequent reference position, at each of the timings. A difference calculator is provided which calculates a difference between the distance measured at the present time and the distance measured at the previous time, for the same reference position, and a breakage determination unit is provided which determines whether there is partial breakage, on the basis of the difference calculated by the difference calculator.

摘要: A protective cover is molded through injection molding of a synthetic resin and includes a disc part, a sensor holder part protruding inward from the disc part, and a protruding part protruding inward from the disc part and being continuous with the sensor holder part. The disc part includes a separation wall which is thinner than other portions of the disc part and separates a magnetic encoder and a magnetic sensor from each other. The protruding part has, at the inward-side face thereof, a gate mark caused by the injection molding. The protruding part is provided with, at the outward-side face thereof, a thickness reduction part extending inward so as to be close to the gate mark.

摘要: A protective cover includes: a synthetic resin disc part having formed therein a separation wall which is thinner than other parts of the disc part and separates a magnetic encoder and a magnetic sensor from each other; and a synthetic resin sensor holder part protruding inward from the disc part. A gate mark caused by the injection molding is present n an outer peripheral surface of the disc part or an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical part continuous with the disc part, in the radially outer side of the separation wall. Since the gate is at the radially outer side, of the separation wall, which is near the separation wall, no charging end weld is generated on the separation wall when a molten synthetic resin material is injected from the gate into the cavity of the injection mold die and solidified in an injection molding step.

The annular fixing member includes the cylindrical portion, an outward flange portion extending outward in a radial direction from an edge of the cylindrical portion, and a sensor opposed portion bent from an edge of the outward flange portion and opposed to a magnetic sensor which detects rotation of the magnetic encoder, and the annular fixing member has a substantially U-shaped sectional shape along a plane including the radial direction and an axial direction. The annular plastic magnet has a shape that covers a front surface, a back surface, and an end edge of the sensor opposed portion, and an outer-diameter-side part of the outward flange portion.
