Abstract:
An intermediate rung apparatus for use with a ladder includes a first hook, legs, and an intermediate rung. The first hook is configured to extend over a rung of the ladder and couple the intermediate rung apparatus to the ladder. The intermediate rung apparatus also includes legs extending from the first hook. The legs are configured to extend in a downward direction substantially parallel to vertical supports of the ladder when the intermediate rung apparatus is coupled to the ladder. The intermediate rung apparatus further includes an intermediate rung connected to the legs and configured to extend in a direction substantially parallel to the rung of the ladder when the intermediate rung apparatus is coupled to the ladder. In some embodiments, a mount may be used to support the intermediate rung apparatus and/or the ladder.

A method of eliciting an immune response in an organism comprising: providing an unprocessed rolling circle amplification (RCA) product; and administering an effective amount of the unprocessed RCA product to the organism to elicit the immune response, wherein the unprocessed RCA product is prepared from a circular nucleic acid template comprising at least one promoter sequence, and at least one target sequence. A vaccine comprising unprocessed RCA product is also provided and methods for making the same.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a connector assembly comprises: a connector; and a pair of side collectors, each comprising a connector engagement region having a size and geometry to mate with the connector so as to hold ends of two adjacent panels together; and a panel engagement region comprising a receiving area and having a size to attach onto an edge of the panel; and a clip, wherein the clip has a base that can be attached to a support, an engagement, and a stem extending therebetween, wherein the engagement has an extension projecting from a side of the engagement, wherein the panel engagement region further comprises an opening in a joint wall on a side of the panel engagement region opposite the receiving area, wherein the opening is configured to receive the extension of the engagement.
Abstract:
A drive connection for fixing a torque converter to an engine crankshaft includes a crankshaft, a torque converter, and a threaded fastener. The crankshaft includes an end face, a rotational axis, and a threaded hole aligned with the axis. The torque converter includes a rotational axis and a cover having an aperture aligned with the axis. The threaded fastener extends through the aperture and is engaged with the threaded hole to secure the cover to the end face. In an example embodiment, the drive connection includes a sealing element disposed between the fastener and the cover. The sealing element may be a washer or an o-ring.
Abstract:
The invention describes methods and compositions for alleviating medical afflictions for which anxiety may cause or exacerbate the affliction. A subject suffering from the affliction is treated with a combination of a pharmaceutical compound that enhances learning, and a second pharmaceutical recognized to be useful for treatment of the affliction, wherein D-cycloserine is the pharmaceutical compound that enhances learning. Representative afflictions include pain, mood disorders, anxiety disorders including performance anxiety, insomnia, female sexual dysfunction, chronic fatigue, autism spectrum disorders, fibromyalgia, and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
Abstract:
Accelerated sub-string searches on large data sets can be performed using filtering processes that can improve or optimize run time performance. A first filtering process can include partitioning a binary tree into sections to enable an exact search to replace a substring search for part of the binary tree and for part of the binary tree to be potentially excluded from substring searching. A second filtering process can include comparing count representations of entries in the binary tree and of a received input string to potentially further exclude entries from substring searching.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a storage enclosure, a carrier, a method of receiving and/or removing disk drive units to/from a storage enclosure, methods of manufacturing a storage enclosure, and a method of mounting a disk drive unit in a storage enclosure. In an aspect of the invention, a storage enclosure (10) comprises: a housing (11); and, at least one drawer (20) movable mounted to the housing such that the drawer is able to move between a received position and a withdrawn position relative to the housing. The or each drawer has a plurality of bays (22) for receiving respective disk drive units (100) with the disk drive units being orientated on their sides. Each bay having an upwardly facing opening which is accessible for insertion and/or removal of the disk drive unit therethrough when the drawer is in the withdrawn position.

Abstract:
The claimed subject matter provides for systems and/or methods for debugging a computer-executable file. The computer-executable file may be executing in a first runtime environment and located in a first process. The file may further comprise on object having a proxy in that first runtime environment. One method embodiment comprises the steps of debugging said computer-executable file; detecting a proxy for an object called by said file; decoding said proxy to obtain physical information regarding said object; returning said physical object information; and transforming said physical object information into logical object information. In addition, one embodiment of a system is provided that comprising a debugger, said debugger debugging client code; a proxy decoder, said proxy decoder providing information to said debugger about the object pointed by said proxy; and an abstraction transformation, said abstraction transformation transforming physical expressions of a proxy into higher level logical expressions.
Abstract:
A roller grill for heating a pre-cooked food product includes a plurality of tubes having outer surfaces adapted to transfer heat to the pre-cooked food product; a plurality of spur gears, each spur gear mounted on an end of a corresponding tube; and a drive assembly. The drive assembly includes a motor; a timing pulley coupled to a shaft having a plurality of worm gears mounted thereon; and a timing belt coupled to the motor and the timing pulley and adapted to transfer rotary motion generated by the motor into rotary motion of the tubes through contacting engagement of the worm gears with the spur gears.
