摘要: Activating supports may be suitably prepared by the following procedure (a) providing a porous mineral oxide support material, (b) treating the support with a phosphorus-containing compound, (c) treating the support from step (b) with an organometallic compound, (d) heating the functionalized support from step (c) under an inert gas and then under an atmosphere comprising oxygen, (e) fluorinating the support with a fluorinating agent, and (f) recovering an activating support. The activating supports are suitable used in combination with single site catalysts for the polymerization of olefins. The supports are most preferably used in combination with metallocene complexes. The preparative route for the activating supports provides for supported polymerization catalyst systems having excellent activities.

摘要: A method for the preparation of a polymer film containing 300-600 gels/m2 of size in the range 100-2000 μm as measured by an optical control system (OCS) as hereinbefore described, said film being derived from an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer is characterised in that said copolymer is prepared in a particle forming polymerisation process in the presence of a single site catalyst system. The preferred single site catalyst system comprises a metallocene and the preferred polymerisation process is a gas phase process. The invention is particularly directed to blown films.

The method is carried out by preparing the copolymer in a particle forming polymerization process in the presence of a single site catalyst system containing a single site catalyst, a cocatalyst, and a support material.

摘要: The present invention relates to a polymerisation process and in particular to a process for the copolymerisation of ethylene and an α-olefin comonomer having 7 to 10 carbon atoms in a fluidised bed gas phase reactor in the presence of a multi-site Ziegler-Natta polymerisation catalyst characterised in that (i) said process is operated in condensed mode, (ii) the amount of said α-olefin is maintained below that at which substantial condensation in the reactor occurs and (iii) at least one of the following apply:a) the catalyst has an uptake rate of 1-octene of at least 700;b) the polymerisation is performed in the presence of an activity promoter.
