    摘要： This application describes a cross-head for directing flowable polymeric materials 90.degree. from the axis of an extruder or similar pressure source and providing substantially uniform pressure patterns at the cross-head output. This is accomplished by dividing and subdividing the stream entering the cross-head, each subdivision taking place on an axis of pressure symmetry and each substream being twisted 90.degree. before reaching its next point of subdivision. The subdivision and twists are accomplished by mounting twisted pieces of flat bar stock in the conduit carrying the stream or substream, each piece having its input end positioned on the axis of symmetry of the stream at the point of stream division.

    摘要： A releasable clasp having a female receiving member and a male insert member, the female receiving member including an elongated internal passageway which extends from one end thereof and has opposed retaining slots therein. The male insert member includes a body portion supporting a pair of forwardly directed, elongated, spaced apart, springy arms which are insertable into the passageway upon compression of the arms together. An enlarged hand portion extends outwardly from the leading end of each arm for releasably locking into a respective one of the retaining slots when the arms spread apart within the passageway. Each of the hand portions terminates at their free ends with an inwardly extending finger directed towards each other. One of the fingers is forward of and overlaps the other finger to define a unitary leading insertion portion, which can include a nose tip, for facilitating insertion of both arms into the passageway.

    摘要： A releasable connector having a receiving member and an insert member. The receiving member includes an elongated internal passageway which extends from one end of the receiving member. A pair of diametrically opposing retaining slots are spacedly positioned along the passageway. The insert member includes a pair of bifurcated springy legs which can be inserted into the passageway upon compression of the legs together. An outwardly extending foot at the distal end of each leg releasably locks into a respective one of the retaining slots. Cam surfaces are formed at the outer periphery of the feet to facilitate entry and exit of the insert member into and out of the receiving member.

    摘要： A releasable clasp including a male insert member and a female receiving member, the female receiving member including a passageway having a single retaining slot in one wall. An abutment projects into the passageway from an opposing wall. The male insert member includes a body portion supporting a pair of forwardly directed springy arms which are insertable into the passageway. One of the arms serves as a guiding arm, and includes a nose portion and an inwardly stepped surface longitudinally extending rearwardly from the nose portion and terminating in a shoulder. The other arm serves as a locking arm, and includes a locking tab for entry into the retaining slot. Teh nose portion is spaced forward of and overlaps the locking tab. Upon entry of the arms into the passageway, the shoulder causes deflection of the guiding arm toward the locking arm until further inspection brings about the entry of the locking tab into the retaining slot. The male insert member can be fully inserted in only one orientation into the passageway. The abutment prevents full insertion into the passageway when attempting to insert the male insert member in an incorrect orientation.

    摘要： A jewelry clasp is provided with a female member and a complementary male member adapted to cooperate with a releasable locking member disposed within the body of the female member, where the locking member engages the male member to hold the male member within the female member to prevent removal thereof. The locking member includes an integral one-piece construction having a locking portion for engaging the male member, a resilient portion for biassing the locking portion against the male member, and an actuating portion for moving the locking portion relative to the pressure of the resilient portion for releasing the male member to permit retraction of the male member from the female member. A holding member disposed within the female member positions the resilient portion relative to the female member. In a modified embodiment, the female member is provided with two integral one-piece locking members to function as a safety precaution to prevent accidental retraction of the male member from the female member.
