Abstract:
A method of installing or retrieving a pumping system into or from a live wellbore includes connecting a lubricator to a production tree of the live wellbore and raising or lowering one or more downhole components of the pumping system from or into the wellbore using the lubricator.
Abstract:
A software control mechanism is disclosed for use with a plurality of media applications. The software control mechanism comprises a media control panel structured for use with a plurality of media applications. The media control panel is independent of each media application. Each media application is displayed within a computer screen. The software control mechanism is structured to control a function of a presently interfaced media application on the display screen. Further, as the presently interfaced media application changes on the display screen, the media control panel for that media application is displayed along a same boundary of the computer screen.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to cable deployed downhole tubular clean out system. In one embodiment, a method of cleaning a tubular string disposed in a wellbore includes connecting a cable to a BHA. The BHA includes a motor and a cleaner. The method further includes supplying a power signal to the BHA through the cable, thereby operating the motor to rotate the cleaner; deploying the BHA into the tubular string and the wellbore using the cable; and cleaning a deposit from an inner surface of the tubular string using the rotating cleaner.
Abstract:
A system and a method are disclosed for configuring a device for receipt of data corresponding to broadcast media signal. The system and method include selecting a metadata preference for use in a search of metadata associated with the broadcast media signals and selecting a notification preference for a notification format. The selected metadata preference and the selected notification preference are transmitted to a hosting system. The device can then receive, in the selected notification format, data corresponding to a broadcast media signal, the broadcast signal corresponding to the metadata preference. In one embodiment, the broadcast media signal is an analog or digital video signal. The metadata can be in a non-video portion of the broadcast television signal, for example, a vertical blanking interval or header field.
Abstract:
A system and a method are disclosed for optimally viewing a non-square aspect ratio photo or video within a non-square aspect ratio display area of a screen. In addition, a system and a method are disclosed for positioning and storing a reference point (e.g., a relative center point) of an image within a display area of a screen. Further, in a slideshow configuration, a system and a method allows for transition between images using sound annotations associates with a particular image.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for enhancing functionality of a browser application are discloses. In an embodiment, a method enhances browser functionality using a browser add-on which enables the browser application to render web pages and other mark-up language documents or browser-rendered documents, images, audio or multimedia files that are at least in part incompatible with the current generation of browser. The add-on uses the rendering engine of prior versions of the browser and overlays their rendered image of the current generation of browser. In this way, enterprises do not have to update or upgrade web-based applications and websites do not have to necessarily upgrade the website to meet or be compatible with the current generation of browsers. In another embodiment, an enhanced browser module renders requested resources based on a DOCTYPE, inherent and/or derived properties, or metadata present within a document or related to the resource's location or its delivery stream.
Abstract:
A system and a method are disclosed for media file management, e.g., on a handheld computing device. The media file management system includes detecting presence of a storage media from a media device and automatically invoking software particularly configured to manipulate media files (or data) on the detected storage media. The media management system also includes detecting duplicate media files for transfer from a first location to a second location and in response to such detection of duplicates, stopping (or preventing) transfer of such duplicative media file. In addition, the media management system is configured to emulate on the handheld computing device a directory and file structure corresponding to particular media standards to allow existing media application software on a host computing system access the media files on the handheld computing device as an extension of the host computing system.

Abstract:
Media data files stored in a first computing device are transcoded for transferring to a second, portable computing device. The device parameters of the second computing device are determined by determining the type of the second computing device, and selecting one from a plurality of sets of predetermined, pre-stored device parameters for different types of second computing devices, based on the type of the second computing device. A selected media data file is transcoded in accordance with the determined device parameters of the second computing device, regardless of whether the second computing device is connected to the first computing device. When the second computing device is connected to the first computing device, the transcoded media data file is transferred from the first computing device to the second computing device.
