Abstract:
The present invention relates ZcytoR21 antagonists, such as soluble receptors and anti-ZcytoR21 antibodies, that are useful in blocking, inhibiting, reducing, antagonizing or neutralizing the activity of IL-17C. IL-17C is a cytokine that is involved in inflammatory processes and human disease. ZcytoR21 is a receptor for IL-17C. The present invention includes soluble ZcytoR21, anti-ZcytoR21 antibodies and binding partners, as well as methods for antagonizing IL-17C using such soluble receptors, antibodies and binding partners.
Abstract:
Novel tumor necrosis factor ligand polypeptides, polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides, and related compositions and methods are disclosed. The polypeptides may be used within methods relating to immune response, and may also be used in the development of immuno-regulatory therapeutics. Also provided are antibodies, binding proteins, agonists and antagonists of the ligand polypeptides.
Abstract:
A method for generating an update status alert at a receiving device, the receiving device operating in a network of participating devices, each participating device broadcasting status information about a monitored entity associated with a respective participating device, the method comprising the steps of: receiving broadcast status information from each of the participating devices; aggregating the received status information to derive a consensus of the status information received from each of the participating devices; comparing the derived consensus with the status of the monitored entity of the receiving device; detecting a difference between the derived consensus and the status of the monitored entity; and in dependence of a difference being determined, generating an update status alert at the receiving device.

The present invention relates IL-17RE antagonists, such as soluble receptors and anti-IL-17RE antibodies, that are useful in blocking, inhibiting, reducing, antagonizing or neutralizing the activity of IL-17C. IL-17C is a cytokine that is involved in inflammatory processes and human disease. IL-17RE is a receptor for IL-17C. The present invention includes soluble IL-17RE, anti-IL-17RE antibodies and binding partners, as well as methods for antagonizing IL-17C using such soluble receptors, antibodies and binding partners.
Abstract:
The invention provides methods for modulating cytokine levels, GM-CSF levels and the immune system using CD83 nucleic acids, CD83 polypeptides, anti-CD83 antibodies and factors that influence CD83 activity or expression. The invention also provides mice having a mutant CD83 gene and mice having a transgenic CD83 gene, which are useful for defining the role of CD83 in the immune system and for identifying compounds that can modulate CD83 and the immune system.
