Abstract:
A modular blade cartridge insert is structured for receipt within a previously molded and designed plastic frame of a conventional multiblade razor cartridge. The modular insert includes a cage having an arrangement of blades positioned in parallel arrangement and electrically connected in series by bridge contacts between alternating adjacent pairs of blades. The modular insert further includes an anode and catode connector for electrical connection to an electrical circuit including a power source and a switch, wherein electric current flows to the anode and through the blades and then back through the catode in the electrical circuit, upon operation of the switch to an on position to close the circuit. In a further embodiment, the multiple blades in the cage of the modular insert are heated by RF energy.
Abstract:
A razor includes a blade cartridge with multiple blades removably and pivotally attaches to a handle. The blade cartridge and handle include microprocessors for wireless communication between the handle and blade cartridge, via near field communication or RFID. A charging base allows for charging a rechargeable power source in the handle and is further adapted to communicate with a smartphone, computer or other electronic device via wired and/or wireless communication. A mobile application on the smartphone is able to communicate with the charging base, while also providing for wired or wireless communication with remote servers/cloud infrastructure and/or the Internet.
Abstract:
A system for regulating current flow in a wet shave razor includes one or more conductive materials, such as metals, in electric circuit connection, wherein each conductive material has unique resistance properties and is used to regulate the amount of current (i.e. heat) flowing to at least one electrically powered component on the blade cartridge, and particularly one or more electrically powered devices/elements on the blade cartridge such as, but not limited to, one or more blades, one or more heating elements, a vibration device, illuminating device (e.g. LED or bulb), gauges, or indicators. The length and thickness of the conductive materials used in the electric circuit further affects the total circuit resistance and, accordingly, the amount of current flowing to the blade cartridge for heating the blades. In other embodiments, the dissimilar material conductors may be used to regulate current flow to alternative electrically conductive components.
Abstract:
A regulator on a valve mechanism for controlled release of pressurized gas from a container. The valve mechanism includes a valve body mounted within a top of the container, a reciprocating core, a return spring, and a resilient sealing gasket. A tubular stem extends upwardly from the core and through an opening in the top of the container. The gasket maintains an airtight seal between a gas flow passage in the valve body and the stem, thereby preventing release of the gas from the container while the spring holds the valve body in a normally closed position in sealed engagement with the gasket. Forced movement of the stem, against the spring, allows passage of the pressurized gas into an axial bore of the stem for release out from a nozzle tip of a cap fitted to the stem. A flow regulator is fitted to the lower end of the valve body and provides a pinhole opening sized according to the desired gas release flow rate. The pinhole opening restricts gas flow through the valve mechanism, thereby substantially reducing the rate of gas discharge from the nozzle tip when the valve mechanism is open.
Abstract:
A tray for holding a razor has a cradle formed and configured for nested engagement with the handle of the razor and the blade face of the cartridge carried on the razor head. Electric heating elements in the cradle warm the blades of the razor when the razor rests in the cradle. The cradle of the tray may further be provided with heating elements in the handle engaging portion for warming the razor handle as well as a shave product carried in the handle of a razor that has an integrated shave product dispenser.
Abstract:
A razor includes a blade cartridge with multiple blades that removably and pivotally attaches to a handle. The blade cartridge and handle include electronic processing elements for collecting, receiving, processing, storing and transferring data before, during and after use of the razor for shaving. A charging base allows for charging a rechargeable power source in the handle and is further adapted to communicate with a smartphone, computer or other electronic device via wired and/or wireless communication. The processing elements in the blade cartridge and the handle bidirectionally communicate with each other and the charging base including sending and receiving the data therebetween.
Abstract:
A blade cartridge for a wet shave razor includes multiple blades that are electrically connected in series to a power source, such as a battery power source, wherein the blades are heated as a result of electrical resistance created by the electric current flow through the blades. The electric current flow through the blades creates a magnetic field around each of the blades, which is opposite in polarity to adjacent blades due to the blades being electrically connected in series, wherein current flow is in opposite direction in each adjacently positioned blade. A method of vibrating the blades includes the step of rapidly alternating direction of current flow to change the polarity of electric fields around each blade to cause momentary attraction between adjacent blades in rapid impulses (e.g., 700 hz to 75 khz) that results in vibration of the blades.
Abstract:
An animal training and behavior altering device and method is used to teach and train dogs, cats and most other animals from unwanted behaviors such as continuous barking, jumping up, stealing, pet to pet confrontations, unwanted use of furniture and other bad habits and behaviors. The device and method combines sound and smell to trigger senses of the animal in a manner that establishes and reinforces negative feedback. In particular, discharge of a propellant through a specially designed nozzle on a canister creates a loud hissing sound combined with a citrus scent that most animals strongly dislike, whereby the behavior of the animal is corrected.

Abstract:
A blade cartridge for a shaving razor includes a unitary blade arrangement as part of a heating system for a razor. The unitary blade arrangement includes one or more electrically conductive blades in electrical connection with an electric power source that may be located in the blade cartridge or in the handle of the razor, forming an electric circuit. When supplied with electric current, the blades generate heat for increased shaving performance and comfort.
