Abstract:
System, apparatus, and methods are disclosed wherewith a group of independent wireless routing devices known as Service Points work cooperatively to form an ad hoc mesh communication network. The resulting Service Point Network is used to provide reliable address-directed communication services between devices attached by conventional means (wired or wireless) to respective Service Ports on any of the Service Points. Attached Utilizing Devices are not considered a part of the Service Point Network and need not contain any custom software or hardware related to the operations of the Service Point Network. To protect the security of network communications and the integrity of the network, the Service Points are assigned internal IP addresses and unique identifiers that need not be disclosed to the Utilizing Devices. The unique identifiers in turn are used to derive public and private encryption key pairs for each Service Point.
Consequently, the networking technology used to form the Service Point Network is independent of the technology used for connecting devices to Service Points. Services for Utilizing Devices include both point-to-point as well as point-to-multi-point communication.
Abstract:
Various technologies described herein pertain to retaining content of a conference call for accelerated replay. The content of the conference call can be recorded. Further, establishment of a connection of a participant to the conference call can be detected. For instance, the connection can be established with a computing device of the participant. Moreover, the establishment of the connection of the participant to the conference call can be detected subsequent to initiation of the recording of the content of the conference call. Responsive to detection of the establishment of the connection of the participant to the conference call, at least a portion of recorded content of the conference call can be transmitted to the computing device for playback at a playback speed that is greater than a speed at which the content is recorded.
Abstract:
The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for extending non-volatile storage at a computer system. In some embodiments, a file operation is performed on at least one shadow copy of a file that is perceived by an application to be stored on a single volume. A plurality of shadow copies of a file can be accessed using durable file identifiers that are durable across changes to other file characteristics. It is indicated back to the application that the file operation was performed on the file perceived to be stored on the single volume. Storage capabilities are enhanced through migration and/or replication of files to newly added volumes.
Abstract:
A hydrometallurgical treatment process for extracting platinum group metals from a flotation concentrate in which the invention revolves around obviating the matte smelting and granulating process. Instead the concentrate is submitted to pressure leaching, oxidative or reductive roasting and final recovery by means of ion exchange adsorption. Roasting is applied in order to convert the platinum group metals to a form that dissolves in chlorine/HCL and a chlorine/HCL leach that renders the platinum group metals in solution.
Abstract:
A novel duel directional electromagnetic actuator includes a case, a core, an electrical current conductive coil and a field coil. The case includes a first case end, a second case end, and an interior wall extending between the first and second case ends. A chamber is defined by the interior wall. An electrical current conductive coil is disposed in the chamber coextensively adjacent the interior wall. The conductive coil has a first coil end disposed proximate the first case end, a second coil end disposed proximate the second case end, and a midpoint. The core has a first core end, a second core end, and an exterior wall extending between the first and second core ends. The exterior wall has a first region adjacent the first core end and a second region spaced from the first region and adjacent the second core end. The core is moveably received in the chamber with motion of the core occurring between the first and second case ends such that said first region traverses the conductive coil between the first coil end and the midpoint and the second region traverses the conductive coil between the second coil end and the midpoint. The conductive coil and the exterior wall are in a facing relationship with respect to each other. The field coil is in a spaced relationship to the conductive coil so that magnetic flux across the conductive coil between the first region and the interior wall is in a first direction and magnetic flux across the conductive coil between the second region and the interior wall is in an opposite direction. The field coil is arranged so that an electrical current in the conductive coil between the first coil end and the midpoint flows in an opposite direction than the current between the second coil end and the midpoint, whereby the flux current cross products of the flux in the first direction with the current and the flux current cross products of the flux in the second direction and said current are additive.
Abstract:
In at least one aspect, the invention comprises a computer-implemented method comprising: (a) electronically receiving a price request; (b) processing in a pipeline price information corresponding to said price request by applying a sequence of configurable rules to said price information; (c) temporarily withdrawing said price information from said pipeline while at least one of said configurable rules being applied is waiting for additional information; (d) inserting said price information into said pipeline after said additional information is received by said at least one of said configurable rules; (e) calculating a price based on said processed price information; and (f) electronically transmitting said price in response to said price request. Other aspects of the invention comprise related software and system implementations.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses pharmaceutical combination therapies for the treatment or prevention of diseases in a mammal comprising a Janus Kinase inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Pharmaceutical compositions containing the same and kits for achieving a therapeutic effect in a mammal comprising pharmaceutical combination therapies are further described.

Abstract:
The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for using directory historical data to facilitate automated file updates. A pair of directories is updated, for example, synchronized, with one another. Directory historical data, such as, for example, previous contents of the directories, is utilized to determine what file operations are to be performed during an update. User-selectable update modes can also be used to further configure what file operations are performed during an update.
