    摘要: A piston for use in a compressor that compresses gas containing lubricating oil is disclosed. The compressor has a crank chamber and cylinder bores for accommodating the pistons. A swash plate is located in the crank chamber and is supported on a drive shaft for integrally rotating with the drive shaft. The swash plate is operably connected to the pistons by shoes to convert the rotation of the drive shaft to reciprocation of each piston. Each piston has a head for compressing the gas supplied to the cylinder bore and a skirt projecting from the head toward the crank chamber. The skirt has a slot for receiving the swash plate by means of the shoes. A rib is formed on an inner wall of the slot and extends parallel to the axis of the piston. When the swash plate rotates, swirling gas in the crank chamber collides against the rib. When the gas collides against the rib, the oil contained in the gas separates from the gas and is guided to the shoes.

    摘要: A piston reciprocating type compressor has a passage structure for connecting a crank chamber to a discharge chamber and/or a suction chamber. A gas bleeding passage connects the crank chamber to the suction chamber. The gas compressed by the piston in the cylinder bore is leaked to the crank chamber causing the pressure raise in the crank chamber. The bleeding passage release the excessive pressure in the crank chamber to the suction chamber. The bleeding passage is partially deformed by a notch formed in a gasket. The notch has a smaller sectional area than the rest of the bleeding passage, regulating the pressure transmitted from the crank chamber to the suction chamber.

    摘要: A compressor is provided with a housing having a boss portion forming a central bore through which a drive shaft is passed, and a clutch has a rotor rotatably supported by the boss portion through a ball bearing. An armature thereof has a frictional surface facing, with a small gap therebetween, a frictional surface of the rotor, and a holder plate is connected to a surface of the armature opposite that frictional surface by rivets. The holder plate has a tubular portion connected to a hub via an annular cushion rubber, and the hub is in spline engagement with the drive shaft of the compressor. An oil sleeve is oil-tightly fitted to the boss portion and axially passed through a central opening of a cover located on the surface of the armature, opposite the frictional surface thereof. The oil sleeve has at its free end an annular flange shaped oil cut portion radially faced with the cover.

    摘要: A vehicle air conditioner includes a variable displacement compressor forming a part of a coolant circuit, detectors for detecting external information necessary for air conditioning, and a controller. The compressor has pistons and mechanism for actuating the pistons to draw, compress and discharge refrigerant. The piston actuating mechanism is located in a crank chamber. The pressure in the crank chamber is changed to vary the compressor displacement. The controller controls the compressor based on the information from the detectors. When disengaging an electromagnetic clutch, which is located between a vehicle engine and the compressor, the controller quickly decreases the compressor displacement and prevents the pressure difference between the crank chamber and compression chambers excessively increased. Therefore, immediately after being stopped, the compressor is started at the minimum displacement, which minimizes the shock due to load torque change on the engine. Also, the electromagnetic clutch is prevented from malfunctioning.

An abutment is provided to restrict the inclination of the swash plate. In another embodiment, a cap included in the guiding mechanism determines the maximum inclination position of the swash plate. In one embodiment, the maximum inclination position is determined by the length of a spring arranged between the swash plate and the rotor. In another embodiment, a spacer is arranged between the swash plate and the rotor. The thickness of the spacer determines the maximum inclination position. The maximum displacement of the compressor can be changed by changing only one part.

    摘要: A single-headed piston type swash-plate compressor has a cylinder block having cylinder bores in which a plurality of pistons are slidably received. A first housing is attached to a first end of the block to form a crank chamber therebetween, and a second housing is attached to a second end thereof to form an annular suction chamber and a central discharge chamber therebetween. The chambers are partitioned by an annular wall portion projected from an inner wall of the second housing such that the suction chamber surrounds the discharge chamber. A drive shaft rotatably is extended through the crank chamber, and a conversion mechanism is provided on the shaft for converting a rotating movement of the shaft into a reciprocating movement of each piston in the corresponding bore such that a suction stroke and a discharge stroke are alternately executed therein. During the suction stroke, a fluid is introduced from the suction chamber into the bore, and during the compression stroke, the introduced fluid is compressed and discharged from the bore into the discharge chamber. The cylinder block has a portion extended radially and outwardly from a side thereof, and the portion has a damping chamber formed therein. The discharge chamber has an elongated portion extended radially and outwardly therefrom, the elongated portion being in communication with the damping chamber through a small passage formed in the extended portion of the block.
