    摘要: A motor-driven steering controller for controlling a steering wheel of a vehicle. The controller includes a steering torque controlling unit, a braking force estimating unit, a right and left braking force difference estimating unit and an assist steering torque providing unit. The steering torque controlling unit controls a steering torque on the steering wheel depending on a steering operation. The braking force estimating unit estimates braking forces to be imposed on wheels of the vehicle. The right and left braking force difference estimating unit estimates difference between the braking forces to be imposed on the right and left wheels each estimated by the braking forces estimating unit. The assist steering torque providing unit provides an assist steering torque for the steering torque controlling unit on the basis of the difference in braking force between right and left wheels estimated by the right and left braking force difference estimating unit.

At the reference value setting device, the wheel speed signal is corrected such that a center of an amplitude of the wheel speed signal becomes a zero reference, and the wheel speed signal is amplified by carrying out a predetermined processing. Further, a selecting device selects, of the wheel speed signals during a predetermined period of time, wheel speed signals whose S/N ratios are poor, which are not to be used. A frequency detecting device judges a tire air pressure state by an air pressure state judging device from a number of times an amplified wheel speed signal crosses the zero reference (a number of times a sign changes).

    摘要: An apparatus for diagnosing a fault in a dynamic system includes a controller which controls the dynamic system through use of a control input signal and vibrates the dynamic system through use of an vibration signal irrelevant to the internal state quantity of the dynamic system; an observer for estimating, on the basis of a response output from the vibration dynamic system, total disturbance which is a sum of an internal disturbance vector stemming from a fault in the dynamic system and a vibration disturbance vector occurring in the dynamic system through vibration; a correlation calculation unit which calculates cross-correlation between the thus-estimated total disturbance and the internal state quantity of the dynamic system and separates a component related to the internal disturbance from the total disturbance; and a diagnostic unit for diagnosing a fault in the dynamic system on the basis of the thus-separated component related to the internal disturbance. Since the dynamic system is vibrated, the response output can be increased even when there exists small external disturbance. As a result, a fault or a variation in air pressure in a tire can be highly accurately diagnosed.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for detecting friction characteristics are disclosed, in which a wheel resonant system includes a vehicle body, a road surface and at least a wheel. A braking force control system exerts a braking force on the wheel. A resonant component detector determines a resonant gain providing the ratio between the amplitude of predetermined frequency component of the braking force and that of the wheel velocity and detects the ratio of the resonant gain to a present reference gain, a deviation calculator calculates the deviation between this ratio and unity, a PI controller controls the braking force control system in such a manner that the deviation coincides with zero, and a friction characteristics detector detects the friction characteristics on the basis of the braking force. When the friction force is made to approach a peak value by increasing the braking force, the resonant characteristics undergo a change thereby to reduce the resonant gain. By controlling the braking force in such a manner that the deviation coincides with zero, therefore, the friction characteristics are held at a peak value. This braking force reflects the friction characteristics, and therefore the friction characteristics between the road surface and the wheel can be accurately detected according to the relative magnitude of the braking force.
