Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a kit for the isolation of RNA in the presence of DNA. The isolation is carried out by binding to a magnetite solid phase, where the binding buffer produces a concentration of guanidinium thiocyanate of>2.5 mol/l, and a certain concentration of phosphate is present during the binding.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the thermal control of at least one temperature-dependent enzymatic reaction in the presence of magnetic particles, particularly nanoparticles, or magnetic beads in vitro by means of the heating of the magnetic beads or magnetic particles to at least one certain target temperature by means of alternating magnetic fields. The enzymatic reaction which can be controlled with the method according to the invention is preferably a PCR reaction or another reaction for the elongation or amplification of nucleic acids, including DNA, RNA or hybrids or derivatives thereof, which takes place directly on the functionalized magnetic beads. Further aspects of the invention relate to a reactor for carrying out the method and the use of the method or the reactor in analytics and diagnostics.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of isolating plasmid DNA from microorganism cultures with the aid of solid-phase bodies. The solid-phase bodies can be silica gels, silicates, or glass-like materials and the solid-phase bodies can have magnetic properties. The solid-phase bodies are used for isolating the microorganisms and for isolating the plasmid DNA.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and kit for performing assays like immunoassays. The assays are performed by using two different types of magnetic beads.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for isolating and purifying nucleic acids from liquid samples. The method comprises using a solid carrier which is essentially made of oxide inorganic materials containing hydroxyl groups (e.g., silica gel or hydroxylapatite). The nucleic acids are bound to the carrier material in the acidic pH range while they are eluted in the alkaline pH range.
