    Abstract: A gangway includes a distal end on which an end effector unit is attached. The end effector unit has an outer surface at least a certain portion of which is adapted to be in contact with an installation, wherein a movement of a rotatable element in the end effector unit corresponds to a movement of the distal end with respect to a reference point on the installation when the end effector unit is in contact with the installation, the movement of the distal end being at least along one of the axes related to the installation. A method for repositioning a gangway to a desired position on an installation or a target structure. A vessel or a watercraft includes the gangway and an installation includes the gangway. A computer software product implements method steps herein disclosed.

    Abstract: System for controlling a marine vessel comprising a number of devices, the devices including a number of power generators and consumers, further comprising sensors for monitoring the activity of the devices. The system including at least one processor calculating device score values of the devices and a control unit connected to said devices and being configured to calculate an efficiency score value based on said device score values. The efficiency score value defining the efficiency of the system. The system also calculates the redundancy of the system based on the operation mode and/or load of the devices, and a redundancy margin index indicating the redundancy of the system devices, according to predetermined scores for each operation mode and computing the efficiency and redundancy values.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for controlling a power plant in a marine vessel. The system comprises at least one switchboard further comprising, a plurality of power plant members including, power suppliers such as power generators and energy storage elements, at least one consumer, and a Dynamic Hybrid Control unit comprising a measurement means for monitoring predetermined power plant and vessel related parameters, and a computational means for computing and predicting power and energy requirements in the power plant for varying time spans into the future. The system utilizes said power and energy requirements for pre-planning and allocating of power and energy between said power plant members for minimizing transients, including voltage, frequency variations in the power plant and load variations on the power generators.

    Abstract: A vessel secure remote access system and method, comprising; a maintenance access device arranged on the vessel, configured to be connected to vessel operation systems and further to be connected to a remote service station via a first secure link, wherein the remote service station is configured to perform maintenance tasks on the vessel operation systems. A remote control switch is arranged on the vessel configured to be connected to a remote control station, via a second secure link, wherein a disabled state the maintenance access device blocks access to the vessel operation systems, and in an enabled state allows access to the vessel operation systems. The remote control switch is configured to enable or disable the vessel maintenance access device based on commands from the remote control station.

    Abstract: Energy storage system suitable for retrofitting into a power supply system as well as method and power allocation system related to this. The power supply system comprises at least two segregated power system sections, each constituting a redundancy group, each comprising an AC switch board and at least one of a power generator adapted to generate an electrical power to the switch board and/or power consumer drawing power from said switchboard. The energy storage system is configured to be coupled to the AC switch board in each of the at least two redundancy groups, the unit constituting a common and autonomous energy storage system, the energy storage system including an energy management system adapted to distribute additional power between the energy storage system and redundancy groups, and/or between the redundancy groups through the energy storage system, thus providing an additional segregated power source.
