摘要: Provided are: a main memory 14 that stores image data, a peripheral region 44 being set to a certain value; and a CPU 12 that performs tonal steps conversion processing on the image data. The CPU 12 includes: a plurality of cores 16 that have a parallel processing function due to a plurality of threads 18 and that execute the tonal steps conversion processing in parallel; and a data cache memory 22 and program cache memory 20 that are provided corresponding to each of the plurality of threads 18. The core 16 specifies a region smaller than a size of the data cache memory 22, of the image data as an operand region 48, and causes the image data corresponding to said operand region 48 to be acquired from the main memory 14 into the data cache memory 22 and executes the tonal steps conversion processing on said operand region 48 without distinction of a central region 42 and the peripheral region 44.

摘要: The present invention relates to a device for adjusting the width of a paper web at a rotary lithographic press and the object of the present invention is to prevent ink or specks of paper from becoming attached to contact parts of a pressing member so as to contaminate the surface of the paper web, and to enable straightforward fitting and removing of a rotatable pressing member. This configuration is therefore provided with one or more pressing members 1 with a plurality of contact members 11 provided integrally in a rotating manner so as to be capable of being mutually separated along the widthwise direction of a paper web W, a support shaft 20 supporting the pressing member(s) 1 in a rotatable manner, wavy surface adjustment means 2 capable of moving the support shaft 20 towards and away from the surface of the paper web W, and pressing member rotation drive means 4 for simultaneously rotating and driving the pressing member 1. It is then possible to move at least one of the pressing members 1 towards and away from the surface of the paper web W and rotational drive is possible in such a manner that rotational speed of the peripheral surfaces of the contact member 11 of the pressing member(s) 1 may be different to the speed of travel of the paper web W.

摘要: A series of offset perfecting press units are stacked for printing multicolor images on both surfaces of a web traveling successively therethrough. Each printing unit has two plate cylinders each split into a pair of halves, and two blanket cylinders in rolling contact with the respective plate cylinders and, via the web, with each other. The plate cylinder halves are capable of independent displacement both axially and circumferentially of the plate cylinder for image registration both transversely and longitudinally of the web. The four plate cylinder halves are driven independently from as many drive motors via respective drive linkages. Two of the four drive motors are further coupled via two associated ones of the drive linkages to the blanket cylinders. Motor power is first transmitted to the blanket cylinders, which are less in diameter than the plate cylinders, then to the two plate cylinder halves.

摘要: A spray-type dampening water supply apparatus having a spray whose nozzles are protected against adhesion of any foreign matter to the nozzle surfaces and in which at least orifices of the nozzles can be easily cleaned out. Each nozzle of the spray has a guide surface slanting from an upstream outer peripheral edge toward a downstream central orifice. A partition of the spray is disposed downstream of the nozzle assembly and has a plurality of apertures confronting the respective nozzles. The spray is equipped with means for opening and closing the apertures of the partition.

摘要: In order to resolve problems where impact force when a pushing member of a splicing device collides becomes large, strength becomes inconsistent as a result of a pushing force due to reactive force, and paper splicing becomes unstable due to it taking time to suppress this, with paper splicing precision falling as a result, a paper splicing device is provided with a pressing member for pressing running paper web taken from one paper roll against the peripheral surface of a paper roll rotatably driven in such a manner that the peripheral surface moves at substantially the same speed as the speed of running of the paper web. The paper splicing device has pressing means for pressing and actuating the pressing member so as to press the paper web against the peripheral surface of the paper roll, and at least one shock absorbing means provided facing the direction of operation of a member coupling as a result of a pressing operation of the pressing means and being capable of absorbing an impact when the paper web is pressed against the peripheral surface of the paper roll.

摘要: A printing press for newspaper production comprises several printing units each having two plate cylinders for concurrently printing on both sides of a web, each plate cylinder having several predefined plate-mounting positions. The control system includes an assignment controller for putting out ASSIGNMENT INFO indicative of how all the printing plates to made for each newspaper issue are assigned to the plate-mounting positions on the plate cylinders. A plate-maker controller provides CONTENTS INFO indicative of at least the page number of each printing plate being made. In response to the ASSIGNMENT INFO and CONTENTS INFO a printer controller produces POSITION INFO indicative of the desired plate-mounting positions on each plate cylinder to which the printing plates are to be mounted, causing a printer to print the POSITION INFO on each printing plate that has been made. After the printing plates are mounted to the plate cylinders, the POSITION INFO printings thereon are read by respective readers, which thereupon put out the POSITION INFO readings together self-identificatory READER INFO. Whether each printing plate is mounted to the correct position on the correct plate cylinder is determined on the bases of the POSITION INFO read therefrom and the READER INFO.
