摘要： A method is provided for facilitating efficient usage of radio capacity in a radio communication system including a communication station operable to receive, over a plurality of subchannels of the radio communication system. In this regard, the packet-formatted data has an overall sequence, and is divided into a plurality of portions receivable by the communication station over respective subchannels, where each portion has a respective link sequence. The method includes detecting missing packet-formatted data at the communication station based upon the overall sequence or at least one of the link sequences. Then, when the missing packet-formatted data is detected based upon the overall sequence, a time period is timed, and when the communication station fails to receive the missing packet-formatted data before the step of timing times out, retransmission of the missing packet-formatted data is requested.

摘要： A lamp controller includes an interface circuit, or receiver, which receives an input signal and decodes control signals supplied from a transmitting device, such as a power line wall controller, according to at least two of the following communication techniques: phase angle control, step control, and coded control. The receiver tests the input signal and identifies which type of control technique is employed by the wall controller connected to the lamp controller. The receiver then decodes the control command from the input signal. In a disclosed embodiment, the lamp controller is gas discharge lamp dimming ballast having a two wire input for connection to the hot dimmed and neutral leads of the power line controller. The ballast has an improved topology in which a pre-conditioner supplies a substantially constant DC voltage to a ballast stage including an inverter, a resonant tank output and a control circuit. The dim signal output by the receiver is independent of the DC rail voltage and, in combination with the maintenance of a substantially constant DC rail voltage, permits of improved dimming control while providing the ease of installation of a two wire ballast.

摘要： A dimming ballast lamp includes a lamp, a ballast circuit for converting AC input power to AC output power, a dimming interface circuit for generating a dimming control signal having a voltage level indicative of a selected dimming level of the lamp and a dimming circuit responsive to the dimming control signal for controlling operation of the ballast circuit. A feedback control circuit detects the lamp voltage and produces a feedback control signal in response to the lamp voltage exceeding a perscribed threshold voltage level. The dimming circuit, responsive to the feedback control signal, controls operation of the ballast circuit so as to increase lamp current thereby increasing the dimming level of the lamp, ensuring low temperature ignition of the lamp and protecting against lamp shutdown.

The ergonomic handle portion and the support member provide stable support for the toe nail trimmer at two positions with respect to the user's arm during use of the toe nail trimmer. The handle may cooperate with a base to provide support/guidance thereto.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method, apparatus, system and computer program product, wherein a time division multiplex signal is received with a periodic first time period allocated to a downlink transmissions and a periodic second time period allocated to uplink transmissions. A decision time metric is obtained by correlating the received signal with a replica signal in order to detect a synchronization pattern provided in the first time period. Then, a slide window based normalization with a time window long enough to accommodate said second time period is applied to the decision time metric.

Based on the operating system being in an accessibility mode common to the plurality of software applications, the operating system may be configured to determine a translation of the text into a second language; and a voice output corresponding to a spoken utterance of the translation of the text. The operating system further may be configured to provide, by the device, the voice output.

An access terminal includes a function that determines whether the one is loaded or unloaded.
