    摘要: A new and distinct variety of apple tree was identified from a population of seedlings derived from a cross of ‘Goldrush’ and ‘Sweet 16’. The new variety, named ‘MAIA8’, is distinct from ‘Goldrush’ as ‘MAIA8’ ripens late-September, 5 weeks before ‘Goldrush’. Unlike ‘Goldrush’, ‘MAIA8’ has scarlet red skin (R.H.S. Colour Chart Red-Purple Group 60B). While ‘Goldrush’ will keep for more than 20 weeks in normal 35° F. storage, ‘MAIA8’ will only keep for approximately 10 weeks in normal 35° F. storage. ‘MAIA8’ is distinct from ‘Sweet 16’ as ‘MAIA8’ is much more precocious, setting fruit in the first year of planting. ‘Sweet 16’ typically does not set fruit until 2 years after planting. The fruit of ‘MAIA8’ adheres to the tree for approximately 6-7 weeks past fruit maturity, while ‘Sweet 16’ fruit will abscise from the tree within 2 weeks of maturity. ‘MAIA8’ fruit are medium sized, crisp, with unique and complex sweet-tart flavor with peach, pear, and strawberry flavor tones.

    摘要: A new and distinct variety of apple tree was identified from a population of seedlings derived from an open-pollinated ‘Honeycrisp’ progeny test. The new variety, named ‘MAIA7’ is distinct from ‘Honeycrisp’ as ‘MAIA7’ ripens mid-October, 4-5 weeks after ‘Honeycrisp’. Unlike ‘Honeycrisp’, ‘MAIA7’ has yellow skin (R.H.S. Color Chart Yellow Group 13A), similar in appearance to ‘Goldrush’. ‘MAIA7’ fruit are medium sized, extremely crisp, with complex sweet-tart flavors that includes tones of brown sugar and pineapple. ‘MAIA7’ maintains crisp texture and full flavor in 35° F. storage for at least 10 weeks longer than ‘Honeycrisp’.

    摘要: The present invention provides a technique for building natural language parsers by implementing a country and/or jurisdiction specific set of training data that is automatically converted during a build phase to a respective predictive model, i.e., an automated country specific natural language parser. The predictive model can be used without the training data to quantify any input address. This model may be included as part of a larger Geographic Information System (GIS) data-set or as a stand alone quantifier. The build phase may also be run on demand and the resultant predictive model kept in temporary storage for immediate use.

    摘要: A new and distinct variety of apple tree ‘MAIA1’ is described, derived from a cross of ‘Honeycrisp’ and ‘Fuji’. This new variety is unique from parent ‘Honeycrisp’ by being harvested in mid-October, 6-8 weeks after ‘Honeycrisp’. This new variety is unique from parent ‘Fuji’ by tree form, with ‘MAIA1’ being moderate vigor, more open tree canopy and higher spur density as contrasted with the bushy, tight tree canopy and lower spur density of ‘Fuji’. ‘MAIA1’ blooms approximately one week later than parent ‘Fuji’. ‘MAIA1’ fruit is moderate size, very crisp, sweet and long keeping, both in refrigerated storage and at room temperature.

The method includes determining at each interval a plurality of functions representing possible distributions of the gas cloud by a Gaussian process, employing a particle filtering process to predict the progression of each such function at a subsequent sampling instant, using a diffusion equation for the gas cloud, attaching a likelihood value to each function at the subsequent sampling instant, and determining a revised set of functions with associated likelihood values, and repeating the above steps.
