An apparatus including: an ultrasonic adapter to ultrasonicate a stream of a liquid dispersion of agglomerated primary particles; and a filter member adapted to filter the resulting ultrasonicated stream containing a dispersion of de-agglomerated primary particles; and optionally a coater adapted to coat the resulting filtered stream containing a dispersion of de-agglomerated primary particles onto a receiver.

A process comprising: providing a moving substrate; applying at least one coating layer wherein the at least one coating Is a photoconductive material, an electrically insulating material, a hole transport material, an anti-curl material, or an adhesive material onto the moving substrate with a slot die coater equipped with at least one position sensor mounted on at least one end of the slot die coater, and for example, applying from one to about five coating layers on the substrate; sensing the position of the slot die coater relative to the moving substrate with at least one position sensor; and, when the position of the slot die coater relative to the moving substrate deviates from a set of predetermined coordinates, iteratively adjusting the position of the die coater relative to the surface of the substrate to return to the set of predetermined coordinates.

An apparatus for attaching an enclosure to the back of a motor vehicle which contains an integral plate, at least devices for attaching such plate to the motor vehicle, a cover, a device for attaching the cover to the integral plate, and a device for attaching the cover to the motor vehicle. When the cover is attached to both the integral plate and to the motor vehicle, it encloses the space between the back section of such vehicle and such cover and forms a substantially waterproof enclosure covering the space.

A portable device for stretching carpet and the like for installation over a floor surface comprises a cylinder carried by a handle member having a spring biased piston slideably carried therein, a piston rod connected to the piston extends through one end of the cylinder having a leg member depending therefrom for engaging the carpet to be installed, a support member depending from one end of the handle member being receivable behind a floor mounted wood strip to which the carpet is to be attached, and means for moving the piston so as to overcome the spring bias stretching the carpet engaged by the leg member toward the support member so that it can be attached to the floor mounted wood strip.

The electrodes may be formed, for example, from a paste containing microtubules, a conductive polymer containing mineral microtubules, or an aerogel containing the mineral microtubules. The mineral microtubules may be filled with carbon, a pseudocapacitance material, or a magnetoresistive material. The mineral microtubules may also be coated with a photoconductive material.

A method of forming one or more polymer containing layers on a substrate using ink jet nozzles. The method is particularly suited to forming one or more polymer containing layers of a photoreceptor. The polymer containing layers may be formed by moving a substrate, in particular a cylindrical substrate, past the ink jet nozzles, by moving the ink jet nozzles over the substrate, or both. The ink jet nozzles are capable of being independently controlled in order to permit precise location of the coating on the substrate.
