    摘要: A photosensitive layer in a multilayer electrophotographic photoconductor includes a charge-generation layer including a charge-generating material having, as a major component, a titanyl phthalocyanine crystal which satisfies the conditions (A) and (B) below and a base resin, and a charge-transport layer including a charge-transporting material, the charge-generating material having, as a major component, the titanyl phthalocyanine crystal which has absorption at a wavelength of a charge-neutralizing light and which satisfies the conditions (A) and (B) or an X-form metal-free phthalocyanine crystal which has absorption at the wavelength of the charge-neutralizing light, and a binder resin. (A) In a Cu—Kα characteristic X-ray diffraction spectrum, one peak is present at a Bragg angle 2θ±0.2°=27.2°. (B) In a differential scanning calorimetry, one peak is present in a range of 270° C. to 400° C. except for peaks attributed to vaporization of adsorption water.

    摘要: Organic photoconductors and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. An example method to manufacture an organic photoconductor involves applying a liquid solution to a surface of a cylindrically-shaped substrate while rotating the substrate about its axis, the substrate comprising a surface layer and the liquid solution comprising a matrix polymer species and a dopant species dissolved in a solvent. The example method further involves rotating the substrate while the solvent evaporates to provide a substantially evenly distributed seamless residue film comprising the matrix polymer species and the dopant species, and cross-linking the matrix polymer species of the residue film.

    摘要: Disclosed is an improvement to a conventional electrostatographic photoreceptor comprised of a conductive substrate having a layer of a photoconductive material on its surface. The improvement involves a plurality of abrasion resistant particles embedded in the layer of photoconductive material so that generally hemispherical portions of the particles protrude to a height of from 0.5 to 5 microns above the surface of the photoreceptor. The improved photoreceptor is readily adaptable to cleaning by applying a flexible doctor blade to its surface and providing relative motion therebetween.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an electrophotographic photoreceptor having an electroconductive substrate, and a charge transport layer and a charge generation layer formed on the substrate, characterized in that the charge transport layer contains a charge transport material represented by formula (1) and a binder resin, and the mass ratio of the charge transport material to the binder resin is from 5/100 to 45/100: wherein Ar1 is an arylene group which may have a substituent; each of Ar2, Ar3, Ar4 and Ar5 is an aryl group which may have a substituent; and n is an integer of from 3 to 6.
