Abstract:
An operation panel includes: a display that displays a plurality of setting items for use of a function of the image processing apparatus on a screen; an item selection key that allows a user to select from the plurality of items displayed on the screen of the display; and a plurality of value setting keys that allow the user to set a value for the item selected using the item selection key. And the display further displays a first display area that serves to know which one is currently selected among the plurality of items using the item selection key and a second display area that serves to know which one to use to set a value for the item among the plurality of value setting keys.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus which executes a predetermined image processing using a data file stored in a data storage device. The image processing apparatus includes: an external interface unit that detachably connects with the data storage device; an input unit that accepts a setting input for a setup item relating to the predetermined image processing; a setting input detection unit that detects the setting input inputted through the input unit; a search condition generating unit that generates a search condition based on a setting value that is set for the setup item relating to the predetermined image processing, when the setting input detection unit has detected the setting input; an execution instructing unit that instructs a search unit to execute a data file search when the setting input detection unit has detected the setting input; the search unit that, in accordance with the instructions from the execution instructing unit, executes a data file search for a data file stored in the data storage device to output a search result based on the search condition that is generated by the search condition generating unit; and a display unit that displays the search result of the data file search.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus is provided with a first detector for detecting that a consumption article has reached its life, a second detector for detecting that the consumption article has reached a certain timing before its life, a third detector for detecting an application of power and/or releasing of a power saving mode of the image forming apparatus, a first controller for making a display portion provided at the image forming apparatus display an alarm advising a replacement of the consumption article and for making the image forming apparatus inactivate in a case where the application of power and/or the releasing of the power saving mode of the image forming apparatus is detected by the third detector after the second detector detects that the consumption article has reached the certain timing before its life but before the first detector detects that the consumption article has reached its life, and a second controller for releasing the alarm display and enabling the use of the image forming apparatus when a specific input means is operated during the displaying of the alarm on the display portion.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus accepts setting related to scanning of documents and setting of a destination of image-related information including thumbnail images, and stores image data obtained by scanning. Further, the image forming apparatus produces the image-related information including the thumbnail images from the image data, and sends it to a personal computer being the set destination. The personal computer displays the thumbnail images, and instruction of an output form of the image data is provided to the image forming apparatus by using the thumbnail image. The image forming apparatus outputs the stored image data in the output form instructed by the personal computer.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes an imput section for inputting image data, a discriminating section for discriminating a process to which the image data should be subjected, and a display for displaying an image represented by the image data when the discriminating section fails in the discrimination. The apparatus further includes an interface for receiving information inputted by an operator and being relevant to the process to which the image should be subjected, and an image processing section for processing the image data according to a result of discrimination of the discriminating section and the information inputted via the interface. Through the above apparatus, by supplementing the discrimination as to whether or not to process the image data by human determination, processing of the image data is reliably executed.
