摘要: The present invention comprises computing systems, computer readable media, and methods of protecting computing systems. Embodiments comprise defining a virtual volume, mounting the virtual volume, and processing write accesses. Processing write accesses comprises creating a virtual volume record in a virtual volume database associated with the write access and storing write data at a free location of a shadow cache. Embodiments may also include processing read accesses comprising comparing the read accesses to a virtual volume record to determine if a matching virtual volume record exists, reading data from the target volume if the matching virtual volume record is absent, and reading a data from the shadow cache if the matching virtual volume record is present. Embodiments may also comprise processing at least one virtual volume record upon the occurrence of an event of interest and includes copying a cache data segment from the shadow cache to the target volume.

摘要: A bleed valve (30) for a gas turbine engine (10) comprises a diffuser (50), through which heated compressor bleed air flows (54) into a bypass duct (22) air stream (B), has a plurality of small holes (40). The plurality of holes (40) is divided into two or more arrays of holes (52p,q,r), each array of holes (52p,q,r) is angled (δ) away from one another so that their respective bleed flows (54p,q,r) do not coalesce. This separation improves mixing with the air stream (B) and helps prevent hot bleed air damaging nacelle and other engine components.

摘要: The present invention provides genetically modified eukaryotic host cells exhibiting increased activity levels of one or more enzymes that generate precursors to be utilized by the mevalonate pathway enzymes, increased activity levels of one or more mevalonate pathway enzymes, prenyl transferase, and/or decreased levels of squalene synthase activity; such cells are useful for producing isoprenoid compounds. The present invention provides genetically modified eukaryotic host cells that produce higher levels of acetyl-CoA than a control cell; such cells are useful for producing a variety of products, including isoprenoid compounds. Methods are provided for the production of an isoprenoid compound or an isoprenoid precursor in a subject genetically modified eukaryotic host cell. The methods generally involve culturing a subject genetically modified host cell under conditions that promote production of high levels of an isoprenoid or isoprenoid precursor compound.

摘要: A live bait container for wade fishing and trolling comprises a hollow cylindrical shell with an integral bottom and a modified frustrum of a right cylinder forming the top. An access opening and cover assembly is disposed on the front face of the container. The container shall have a main and a top buoyancy chamber disposed to maintain the bait chamber submerged while keeping the access opening above water. The container's midsection, including the sloping back shall be plastic mesh. Other material used in the construction, except the access cover assembly, is generally of transparent plastic enabling the bait to be observed. The removable access cover assembly comprises a plurality of elastic strips with a retaining device on both ends that engage the container. Bait is recovered by reaching between the elastic strips. The container has a keel containing a handhold for carrying and a hole for a two line.

摘要: A device for modeling a software application includes an environmental model that includes a first set of attributes. The first set of attributes includes a value attribute, a declaration, and a set of meta-attributes. A behavioral model includes a second set of attributes, including a portion of the first set of attributes, wherein the environmental and behavioral models share the portion. The second set of attributes includes a value attribute and set of meta-attributes, each having at least one of a declaration and function. Changes to an attribute in the behavioral model reflect in all models that share the attribute. A design model includes a first decomposition of the second set of attributes into a first plurality of groups. A run-time model includes a second decomposition of the second set of attributes into a second plurality of groups, and records the decomposition of the behavioral model into run-time components.
