Abstract:
A power distribution block includes a housing, an input terminal and at least one output terminal extending from the housing. At least one fuse insertion opening is formed in the housing and configured for insertion of a fuse. Each fuse insertion opening includes a first fuse contact terminal and a second fuse contact terminal within and configured for electrical contact with an inserted fuse, and each first fuse contact terminal is coupled to the input terminal. The power distribution block also includes at least one relay each having a first relay contact and a second relay contact where each first relay contact is coupled to a respective one of the second fuse contact terminals, and each second relay contact is coupled to a respective one of the output terminals.
Abstract:
A bimetallic reed for a circuit protecting device includes an integral fusible portion as a failsafe interrupting mechanism. The bimetallic reed includes a body of electrical conductive materials and having a first end mountable to a terminal and a second end forming an interruptible contact portion. The body is shaped to deform at a central portion of the body when the body is heated to a predetermined temperature. The body includes a plurality of apertures adjacent to the contact portion defining a plurality of electrical conductive pathways connecting the central portion and the contact portion, wherein the plurality of conductive pathways is fusibly responsive to a predetermine electrical load condition to form a fusible link.
Abstract:
A vehicle electric power distribution apparatus is provided which includes a plurality of vertically stacked conductive circuit layers, each layer including an array of contact pads, a layer of electrically insulating plastic material between each of the conductive circuit layers, at least some of the contact pads are electrically connected to selected other contact pads of the same conductive circuit layer via integrally formed conductive traces. In addition to the stacked circuit layers the apparatus includes a plurality of conductive pins providing electrical contact between selected contact pads of different selected conductive circuit layers.
Abstract:
A power distribution apparatus includes a conductive plate (100), the conductive plate (100) including plurality of contact pads (101) that are interconnected by removable connecting links (102), each of the contact pads (101) including opening (106) for receiving a connector pin, a housing (811), for the conductive plate, the housing including plurality of connector receptacles (820), and plurality of connector pins selectively mounted on a portion of the receiving opening (106) on the conductive plate so as to align with the connector receptacles (820), wherein a portion of the connecting links (102) are removed to create a circuit on the conductive plate (100).
Abstract:
A sealed power distribution module includes a nonconductive body defining a terminal receptacle, a barrier seal engaged to and surrounding the body adjacent the receptacle on an exterior surface of the body, a terminal element grid fitted within the receptacle, and provisions for installing commercially available sealed terminals to complete the wiring. The grid is engaged to the body at a location interior to the barrier seal. The power distribution module may also include one or more bus bar assemblies oriented such that simultaneous switching of relay packages is possible.
Abstract:
An electrical feed through junction block includes a mountable housing comprising a front and a back, a first conductive terminal extending from the front of the housing, a second conductive terminal extending from the housing in a direction opposite the first conductive terminal, and an overcurrent protection device located within the housing. The overcurrent protection device is configured to provide a conductive path between the first conductive terminal and the second conductive terminal when in a non-overcurrent position.
