    摘要: A biometric module implemented on a single integrated circuit chip is configured to perform processing as part of a function associated with a device that performs contactless communication with a terminal. The module comprises a power-harvesting unit to induce a voltage from a wireless signal received at an antenna of the device; one or more components configured to process functions in the digital domain; one or more components configured to process functions in the analogue domain; and first and second voltage regulators each having inputs for receiving an input voltage induced by the power-harvesting unit. The first voltage regulator outputs a first voltage to the components processing functions in the analogue domain and the second voltage regulator outputs a second voltage lower than the first voltage to the components processing functions in the digital domain.

A matching process may be configured with a multi-match mode (MM) enabled or disabled. Disabling the MM allows the match process to indicate a match of the pattern-under-test to the pattern template when a single template element is matched (at a standard security mode). Enabling the MM allows a multi-match security mode in which the pattern-under-test must independently match two or more discrete template elements to report that the pattern-under-test matches the pattern template (with an improved security mode relative to the standard security mode).

    摘要: A system and method for biometric enrollment and verification compares a test biometric image (e.g., of a fingerprint) with each of a plurality of reference biometric images of one or more enrolled users. Verification of a user as an enrolled user is based on the cumulative amount of overlap between the test image and the reference images. The reference images are defined during an enrollment process by comparing a plurality of sample images, identifying overlapping data in each of the images, computing one or more quality measures, and storing at least a portion of the sample images. The enrollment process is deemed complete when each quality measures meets or exceeds an associated threshold.

    摘要: A system, method, and computer program product for efficiently reconstructing a pattern, such as a fingerprint, from a set of multiple impressions of portions of that pattern. The system may evaluate images of patterns taken from a series of multiple impressions and reconstruct the pattern from the image portions while providing the operator with realtime feedback of a status of the set of images. As each new image portion is evaluated, a display graphic or other indicator provides feedback when a new image portion is added to the reconstruction image, or when a new image portion is not added (such as it representing a duplicate). Other status indications may be provided, and when the indication is visual, a degraded resolution of the pattern map may be provided on the display graphic to improve security.

    摘要: A sensor assembly comprises a rigid substrate with a circuit subassembly wrapped therearound. The circuit subassembly includes a flexible substrate with conductive traces and interconnects formed thereon, and when wrapped around the rigid substrate, the conductive traces may overlap one another so as to form capacitive sensor elements. The interconnects connect the conductive traces to one or more components, such as a printed circuit board attached to a portion of the flexible substrate. The sensor assembly maybe installed in an opening formed in a host device panel of a host device, such as a smart phone, with the sensor assembly optionally peripherally surrounded by a spacer frame, and covered by a cover element. The circuit subassembly may include a host connector tab for electrically connecting the sensor assembly to electrical components of a host device.
