A remote control is provided including a plurality of sensors which sense movement of the remote control, and a control unit which turns on at least one sensor of the plurality of sensors and thereby senses movement of the remote control, and determines whether to turn on or off the remaining sensors according to whether or not the at least one sensor senses movement of the remote control. Consequently, battery consumption is reduced.

Provided is a display apparatus including a display panel and a display frame to support the display panel. The display apparatus including an input unit, provided on the exterior surface of the display apparatus, for outputting a contact detection signal when a user contacts the input unit; a signal processor for generating a function adjustment user interface (UI) menu to be displayed on the display panel; and a controller for controlling the signal processor to display the function adjustment UI menu corresponding to the user's contact through the input unit when the user's contact is detected based on a detection result of the input unit. Thus, provided is a display apparatus which improves accessibility to a function adjustment UI menu, simplifies a manipulation process of the function adjustment UI menu, and enables a user to quickly and easily access a desired adjustment item when the function adjustment UI menu is displayed, and a control method thereof.

A display apparatus and a method for executing a link and a method for recognizing a voice thereof are provided. The method for executing a link of the display apparatus includes displaying a user interface, determining a text included in a link included in the user interface, displaying the text determined in the link to be distinguished from other texts, recognizing a voice input from a user, and if the voice uttered by the user matches the text determined in the link, executing the link associated with the matching text. Accordingly, possibility of misrecognition of a voice input by the user is reduced, and the user controls a display apparatus using more exact voice recognition.

A DSP (Digital Signal Processing) architecture with a wide memory bandwidth and a memory mapping method thereof. The DSP architecture includes: a first communication port; first, second, and third memory devices, which are connected with the first communication port and are arranged in a first row direction of the DSP architecture; a fourth memory device, a calculation element, and a fifth memory device, which are arranged in a second row direction below a first row direction of the DSP architecture; and sixth, seventh, and eighth memory devices, which are connected with the first communication port and arranged in a third row direction of the DSP architecture, wherein the calculation element is connected with the first through the eight memory devices. In the DSP architecture, the calculation element and the first through the eighth memory devices form one arrangement unit, wherein the calculation element is disposed in the center of the arrangement unit, the first through the eighth memory devices are connected to the calculation element, and a plurality of arrangement units are arranged in row directions and column directions of the DSP architecture. Therefore, since a wide data bandwidth is provided between the calculation element of the DSP architecture and the memory devices, it is possible to reduce memory access times when data is processed, and accordingly, to process data with a high data rate, such as a moving image with a high resolution.
