    摘要: A retractable lifeline safety device usable as heights above the ground. The safety device is attached to the structure on which the worker is performing the task, and a lifeline such as a cable is withdrawn from the housing thereof, the end of which is attached to a belt or harness worn by the worker. The cable may be easily drawn out of the housing in response to the worker moving about normally in the appropriate work space, and the cable is automatically drawn back into the housing of the safety device as the worker draws closer thereto. However, should the worker fall, a brake mechanism within the safety device is automatically engaged by a sprocket and pawl system, stopping the worker's descent.

    摘要: This method for decoupling capacitance analysis improves upon existing techniques to attempt to give a more accurate representation of the power supply fluctuations on a chip while keeping runtime comparable. This method employs the following techniques; a) a method for descending through hierarchy and dividing the design into a variable sized grid; b) an algorithm to determine which grid locations of a design don't have enough decoupling capacitors for all of the devices in that grid location; c) an algorithm to determine which grid locations are subject to harmful neighboring effects; and d) a method to display the results of the calculations in a graphical manor to allow easy identification of problem areas.

    摘要: A system and method for analyzing a circuit with transmission lines includes determining which sources influence each of a plurality of transmission lines, based on coupling factors. Transmission line parameters are computed based on the sources, which influence each transmission line. A transient response or frequency response is analyzed for each transmission line by segmenting each line to perform an analysis on that line. The step of analyzing is repeated using waveforms determined in a previous iteration until convergence to a resultant waveform has occurred.

    摘要: Provided is an insulation liner for use inside a shipping carton that affords thermal insulation and shock absorption for an object to be shipped, a liner and carton system, a method of production of the insulation liner, and methods of use. The insulation liner includes a larger component folded into three panels, a smaller component folded into three panels, and standoffs disposed on the surfaces of both the larger component and the smaller component. The standoffs may be oriented inwardly or outwardly. When oriented outwardly they create an interstitial air space that reduces conduction allowing the insulation effect of the liner and carton system to equal or exceed that of a molded polystyrene container of an equal size.
