    摘要: In a cylinder head 1 of an internal combustion engine, communicating passageways 17, 18, 17′, 18′ for coolant are provided between combustion chambers 3 and pass-through holes 21 to 28 at positions which overlap straight lines L1, L2 connecting centers C2, C3 of the exhaust port openings 6a, 7a with centers C5 to C8 of the pass-through holes 25 to 28 and straight lines L3, L4 connecting centers C9, C10 of the intake port openings 4a, 5a with centers C11 to c14 of the pass-through holes 21 to 24 when a mating surface 2 of the cylinder head 1 with the cylinder block is viewed from the bottom. When peripheries of the exhaust port openings 6a, 7a and intake port openings 4a, 5a thermally expand, the suppression of thermal expansion by the bolts at fastening portions is alleviated by the communicating passageways 17, 18, 17′, 18′.

    摘要: A laser beam scanning device which has an improved cylindrical mirror in an optical path from a laser source unit to a polygonal mirror. The cylindrical mirror has a finite radius of curvature only in a sub scanning direction, and the radius of curvature in the sub scanning direction varies in a main scanning direction such that the closer to a laser beam incident side, the larger and the closer to a laser beam emergent side, the smaller. The laser beam reflected by the cylindrical mirror is converged on a line substantially parallel to each reflective facet of the polygonal mirror.

    摘要: A laser beam optical scanning system having a laser diode, a collimator lens, a cylindrical lens, a polygonal mirror and an f.theta. mirror. The f.theta. mirror has a free toric surface whose curvature in the main scanning direction varies in accordance with field angle. The variation of the curvature of the free toric surface is set in accordance with the position of the f.theta. mirror in the optical path, and this appropriate setting of the variation of the curvature enables the f.theta. mirror to correct both distortion and curvature of field in the main scanning direction.

    摘要: A structure for preventing a tooth skip in a toothed endless power transmitting belt. On an inner side of a tooth skip preventing member covering an outer surface of a toothed rotor is formed a tooth skip preventing piece bent at a right angle. The tooth skip preventing member is arranged substantially in parallel with the outer circumferential surface of the toothed endless power transmitting belt wound around a toothed driving pulley with a narrower space than a tooth height of the pulley. The tooth skip preventing member is fixed to a casing by a bolt penetrating a hole of the member. On a outer side at a central portion of the tooth skip preventing member is formed a harness holding piece bent at a right angle in the same direction as the tooth skip preventing piece.

    摘要: An optical device comprises an optical lens and a mounting assembly for securing the optical lens to a support surface. The optical lens has a longitudinal axis and has first and second projections; the mounting assembly includes a clamp member which has a clamp surface and depresses the optical lens downwardly through contact of the clamp surface with the optical lens so as to mount the optical lens on the support surface. The clamp member is formed, on the clamp surface, with first and second holes engageable with the first and second projections of the optical lens, respectively; the second hole is an elongated opening extending in the longitudinal direction of the optical lens.

    摘要: A pair of link arms each supported at one end thereof on an engine body for swinging movement about an axis parallel to a rotational axis for a valve-operating cam are connected at the other ends, for relative turning movement about an axis parallel to the rotational axis, directly to a rocker arm having a valve abutment abutting against an engine valve and a cam abutment contacting with the valve-operating cam. At least any one of the link arms is swingably supported at one end thereof on the engine body for continuous movement within a plane perpendicular to a rotational axis for the valve-operating cam. Such an arrangement ensures that a valve-operating system can be constructed compactly, and the opening lift amount of the engine valve can be changed continuously, while ensuring an excellent followability to the valve-operating cam.

    摘要: A flow control valve coupling structure that does not require complicated machining and facilitates the installation of a flow control valve. The coupling structure includes a fitting portion having a male thread that is formed on a peripheral surface of the flow control valve. A coupled member has a coupling hole to receive the flow control valve. A cylindrical elastic sealing member is engaged with the coupling hole to seal the space between the flow control valve and the coupling hole. The elastic sealing member has an inner surface defining a mounting hole in which the fitting portion is fitted. A female thread is formed on the inner surface and is mated with the male thread of the fitting portion.

Wall-removed portions are formed in the rocker arm at locations corresponding to the cam abutments and open at opposite sides of the rocker arm. Thus, it is possible to provide a reduction in weight of the rocker arm.
