Abstract:
Provided is a method of providing a remote user interface (UI) service of a remote UI client device. The method includes: receiving optimized scalable vector graphics (OSVG) information encoded so as to represent graphics including contents and a UI from a remote UI server device; decoding the encoded OSVG information; and rendering the decoded OSVG information using an OSVG primitive application programming interface (API).
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing multiple screens and a method of dynamically configuring multiple screens. The apparatus for providing multiple screens is capable of connecting a plurality of screens to a plurality of output ports so as to dynamically configure the plurality of screens which provide multiple contents on a single physical display device. The apparatus for providing multiple screens includes a service processing module which generates a plurality of screens for displaying received service and an output module which searches an output port connected to the screen.
Abstract:
A method of and an apparatus are provided for signaling a transmission code set in data broadcasting. A client using the transmission code set signaling method includes a demultiplexer demultiplexing a packetized elementary stream (PES) packet corresponding to a program selected by a user from the broadcasting stream received by the system interface, an image decoder decoding the demultiplexed PES for images, a sound decoder decoding the demultiplexed PES for sound, and a CPU fetching information about a transmission code set of a character string used in an object carousel message from the demultiplexed message PES and decoding the character string used in the object carousel message based on the fetched information about the transmission code set.

Abstract:
A method is provided for transmission and reception, by an object carousel, of an object including data and a message to reference the data. The method includes inserting into the message information regarding an encoding system used to encode character strings within the message; transmitting the data and the message by the object carousel; receiving the data and the message; determining the information from the message; and decoding the character strings within the message according to the information, wherein the message is a broadcast inter ORB protocol (BIOP) message.
Abstract:
A method of decoding character strings within a message to reference data is provided. The method includes receiving the message to reference the data transmitted by an object carousel, wherein the message is a broadcast inter ORB protocol (BIOP) message, determining information regarding an encoding system used to encode the character strings within the message; and decoding the character strings according to the information which is determined.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing multiple screens and a method of dynamically configuring multiple screens are provided. The apparatus for providing multiple screens includes a digital signal processing module which receives predetermined information and restores a service based on the predetermined information, a service processing module which displays one or more logical screens associated with the service, and an output module which arranges the logical screens provided by the service processing module at different locations on a display screen.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing multiple screens is disclosed. The apparatus includes a user/application interface module receiving a PiP service providing mode, and an output module displaying a video component of a service on a main screen if the PiP service providing mode is a first mode and displaying a background video or the video component of the service on a PiP screen if the PiP service providing mode in a second mode.
Abstract:
The present invention performs multiscreen configuration and multiscreen management by using a plurality of screens and a plurality of methods in order to represent a plurality of service contents. In accordance with a multiscreen configuration method of the present invention, by mutually assigning one or more broadcasting services, one or more logical screens, one or more display screens, and one or more output ports, ultimately outputting service contents which are executed on screens assigned by output ports, and setting, changing, and reporting configuration of a multiscreen, the configuration of the multiscreen may be set or reset so as to effectively output various service contents on the multiscreen by using a desired method.
