摘要: This invention provides method for repairing, regenerating, treating, or inducing the repair of an injury, a defect or a condition of a connective tissue of a subject. This invention provides a method of regenerating, enhancing, inducing repair and/or development of connective tissue as a result of a defect, injury or condition of the connective tissue of a subject comprising the step of inserting an engineered cell which comprises a nucleic acid encoding a SMAD protein or variant thereof, so as to induce regeneration, repair and/or development of the connective tissue. This invention further provides methods of ex-vivo implantation of engineered cells into an injury, defect or condition of the connective tissue. This invention also provides a nucleic acid encoding a SMAD 8 protein variant, cells comprising such SMAD 8 variant, include mesenchymal stem cells, progenitor cells or cells derived from a connective tissue. Lastly, this invention provides SMAD 8 protein variant.

摘要: A sintered slide bearing for a shaft of an electrical machine has a bore for the shaft and also has capillary gaps. It is saturated with a lubricant. The surface region of the bore has zones of different density, which are saturated with a low-viscosity poly-alpha-olefin lubricant. As a result, positive values are established for the long-term performance and cold noises in an arbitrary installed position.

摘要: A method for determining bandwidth capacity of a test segment by sending one or more short packet bursts or streams from unique source smart nodes (SNs) over a link, which has the test segment, to one or more destination SNs. Selected source SNs send packet bursts or streams to other selected SNs at precise times so that the packet bursts or streams traverse the test segment simultaneously. Analyses of the traffic flow patterns at the destination SNs, including byte count measurements and time stamps, are used to determine the bandwidth capacity of the test segment.

摘要: The invention relates to methods of enhancing repair of a cartilage and/or inducing formation of a cartilage by administering a cell, which expresses a factor of the T-box family, which includes inter-alia the brachyury. In another embodiment, the invention relates to an engineered cell, which is transfected with a vector comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding a factor of the T-box family, thereby expressing a factor of the T-box family. In another embodiment, the invention relates to compositions comprising a vector, which comprises a nucleic acid sequence encoding a factor of the T-box family and in another embodiment the composition-comprising cell that expresses a factor of the T-box family, which includes inter-alia the brachyury.

摘要: The starting point is a process to improve the performance of the incineration of combustible waste material in an incineration chamber, whereby the waste material is conveyed to a burner flame where it is burned with combustion air at a temperature in the range from 1100° C. to 1700° C. [2012° F. to 3092° F.]. On this basis, in order to create a process that allows a capacity increase of installations employed for the exothermal incineration of waste materials, it is proposed according to the invention that at least part of the combustion air is replaced by an oxygen-rich gas having an oxygen content that is higher than that of air and that the oxygen-rich gas is mixed with a cooling medium.
