摘要: A system and method for continuously forming an envelope. The method includes providing a substrate including a liner, where the substrate has a side edge; plunging the substrate into a cartridge with a pusher to a desired depth to form a U having two opposing walls, two side openings and a flap opening; squeezing the two opposing walls along the two side openings, while keeping the flap opening open; sealing the two opposing walls along the two side openings to form the envelope; retracting the pusher; and filling the envelope disposed in the cartridge via the flap opening, where the substrate is disposed on a roll.

摘要: A method for monitoring a chance event is described. The method includes: capturing an initial ancillary frame image prior to an occurrence of a chance event, wherein the initial ancillary frame records winning outcomes based on the chance event; calculating motion information of an object in a reference frame, wherein the motion of the object defines the chance event; and capturing a final reference frame image when the chance event has occurred in the reference frame.

摘要: A device for controlling lights that are placed in a random fashion on an object or surface and easily synchronized to form a pattern of illumination is disclosed. The device includes a combination of lights, each with the separate ability to be turned on or off in a timed fashion and further may include the ability to change color or intensity. The process for synchronizing the lights including the steps of recognizing the order of lights on the object via a camera, overlaying a pattern desired upon the image captured by the actuation of each of the lights, determining the color, intensity, and frequency of lighting of each of the lights required based on the overlayed image so as to create a lighting actuation algorithm, transmitting part or all of the information of the control algorithm to each of the lights, and further operating the complete system through a common time.

摘要: A device for communicating a physical touch is disclosed. The device including: an array of pistons numbering greater than 25 per square inch, each piston having a contact surface; an actuator array to independently move each piston; and a controller to determine a depth position of each piston in the array of pistons, wherein each of the pistons comprises a cylinder and a pin disposed in the cylinder. The device may be used with a communication system including a high speed data transmission and sensory system to reproduce the sensation of touch by translating an actuation of the array pins. The actuation may be affected by a controlled continuous transfer of a fluid between pressure zones. Additional sensory effects including texture, softness, humidity, chemistry and temperature may be transmittable through the device.
