    Abstract: A processor associated with a vehicle receives sensor data from a plurality of sensors associated with a vehicle, where each sensor generates data corresponding to a different parameter of a passenger in the vehicle. Based on the sensor data, one or more primitive emotional indications are generated. The processor applies a model to the one or more primitive emotional indications that when applied outputs a contextualized emotional indication associated with the passenger that includes an assessment of an emotional state of the passenger and a reason for the emotional state. A contextual response is selected based on the contextualized emotional indication, and the processor causes an output by the vehicle to enact the contextual response.

    Abstract: A computing device schedules media content for playback in a vehicle based on an estimated duration of an operating session of the vehicle, such that the runtime for the scheduled content approximately corresponds to the estimated operating session duration. Before an operating session, such as a drive from a first location to a specified second location or a session recharging a battery of the vehicle, the computing device determines the estimated duration of the operating session. The computing device selects one or more media content items that together have a collective runtime corresponding to the estimated duration of the operating session. During the operating session, the schedule of media is output for playback.

    Abstract: A vehicle includes an internal lighting system with a plurality of lighting devices, which is capable of outputting different lighting configurations. Each lighting configuration is defined by a brightness of emitted light, a color of emitted light, a number and identity of the plurality of lighting devices that are turned on, and/or a time-based sequence of changes to the brightness or color of one or more of the plurality of lighting devices. The vehicle further includes one or more sensors and a processor communicatively coupled to the lighting system and the sensors. The processor causes the lighting system to output a first lighting configuration. Based on data captured by the sensors, the processor detects a trigger criterion has been satisfied. In response to detecting the satisfaction of the trigger criterion, the processor modifies a configuration of the lighting system to output a second lighting configuration.
