    摘要： In an icing condition detection system, a circuit provides an output representing impending icing conditions as a function of power consumption of a single element detector. A thermal isolation pedestal includes a detector support end that supports the single element detector and an opposite strut mounting end. A thermal isolation controller controls a thermal isolation pedestal temperature to thermally isolate the single element detector from a strut mounting end.

    摘要： Electrets are used in a variety of MEMS-based actuator devices. The electret is able to store electrical charge for a long time with negligible charge leakage. Therefore, when an electret is incorporated into a MEMS device that requires actuation, the device can be initially biased to any desired actuation state for a long period of time without the use of external bias voltages. Such a MEMS-based device may include a MEMS-based actuator having at least a first deflectable member and at least a second member. The first deflectable member and the second member are provided with a floating electrode and a second electrode. A charge on the first floating electrode is selected so as to position the first deflectable member at a desired separation distance from the second member. The device may be used to align an optical component or to change the electrical characteristics of an electrical element.

    摘要： A diagnostic system for a pressure sensor having a cavity configured to receive on applied pressure is provided. The cavity has a first and a second wall. A deflectable diaphragm is positioned in the cavity and configured to form a first and a second capacitance with the first wall and a third and a fourth capacitance with the second wall which change in response to the applied pressure. The capacitances form a first transfer function and a second transfer function. Changes in the first transfer function relative to the second transfer function are detected to provide a diagnostic output.

    摘要： An apparatus intended for the elderly, handicapped, or very young, for automatically storing and dialing telephone numbers based on the selected page of an attached telephone directory. The telephone directory pages accommodate photos, names, or other memory cue information. The directory pages also incorporate specialized markers to uniquely identify each page so that a circuit capable of detecting the page markers is able to associate a telephone number with the particular page being viewed. In the preferred embodiment, telephone numbers are programmed into the apparatus by the user through the use of several memory buttons and an attached telephone. Once programmed, the user can turn to a desired page in the telephone directory and then place a call to the party being viewed by simply pressing a dial button.

    摘要： A pressure sensor assembly for sensing a pressure of a process fluid includes a sensor body having a cavity formed therein to couple to a process fluid pressure. A deflectable diaphragm in the cavity deflects in response to the first and second process fluid pressures. A first primary electrode couples to a wall of the cavity and forms a first primary capacitor between the first primary electrode and the deflectable diaphragm. A first secondary electrode couples to the wall of the cavity to form a first secondary capacitor between the first secondary electrode and the deflectable diaphragm. A second primary electrode and second secondary electrode are preferably coupled to a wall of the cavity opposite the first. Line pressure of the process fluid is determined based upon variation in the secondary capacitors relative to the primary capacitors.
