    摘要: An image forming device includes: an endless transport belt in which a plurality of through holes are formed, the transport belt circulating to carry sheets; a recording head with a plurality of nozzles through which ink droplets are discharged, the nozzles being arranged in a width direction of the transport belt. The image forming device performs preliminary discharge of ink droplets in which the ink droplets discharged through the nozzles pass through the through holes. The image forming device further includes: a sensor that detects an element to be detected formed on the transport belt when the transport belt circulates; and a preliminary discharge control unit that controls timings of discharge of ink droplets through the nozzles in the preliminary discharge based on a plurality of results of detecting the elements to be detected given from the sensor.

    摘要: A line converter includes ground conductors, a transmission-line conductor and a coupling-line conductor disposed on a dielectric substrate. A dielectric-filled waveguide includes a lower conductor plate, an upper conductor plate, a lower dielectric strip, and an upper dielectric strip, where the dielectric substrate is sandwiched between the lower conductor plate and the lower dielectric strip, and the upper conductor plate and the upper conductor strip, so that a conductor portion S that is part of the ground conductors of the dielectric substrate defines a shield area of the dielectric-filled waveguide. The coupling-line conductor is coupled to a standing wave generated by the shield area, at a position where the electric-field intensity of the standing wave is high. Subsequently, a plane circuit can be arranged so as to be substantially parallel to the direction in which an electromagnetic wave propagates through the three-dimensional waveguide. Further, the dielectric substrate can be easily machined and the characteristic of coupling between the plane circuit and the three-dimensional waveguide provided on the dielectric substrate is prevented from being affected by the precision of assembling the plane circuit and the three-dimensional waveguide so that a line-conversion characteristic according to a predetermined design can be easily obtained.

    摘要: A directional coupler includes a conductor pattern formed on a substrate. The conductor pattern includes first to fourth lines radially extending from a predetermined point on the substrate, and conductive pattern portions. Each line has a first point a first distance from the predetermined point, and a second point a second distance from the predetermined point, wherein the first and second distances have different values. Respective first or second points of adjacent lines are connected by curves, straight lines, or bent lines with obtuse angles, and the crossing angle defined at an intersection of the connecting lines and edges of adjacent lines is obtuse. The conductive pattern portions are defined by the first to fourth lines and the connecting lines. The conductive pattern portions break degeneracy of a plurality of resonant modes.

    摘要: In a transmission line, protrusions extend in line one after another in a direction perpendicular to the cross section in a part of a dielectric substrate, with a discontinuous portion therebetween. A lower-surface electrode is formed on a main surface of the dielectric substrate provided with the protrusions and on the outer surfaces of the protrusions. An upper-surface electrode is formed on substantially the whole area of the surface opposite to the lower-surface electrode. Further, a plurality of through-holes for connecting the lower-surface electrode and the upper-surface electrode, which are formed on both surfaces of the dielectric substrate, are aligned on both sides of the protrusions along the direction in which the protrusions extend. Also, coplanar lines and a circuit element are mounted on the upper-surface electrode. The coplanar lines are coupled at a predetermined position to a transmission path formed by the protrusions.

    摘要: A dielectric line switch is provided which is capable of easily controlling the propagation of an electromagnetic wave. Also provided is an antenna device employing said dielectric line switch. As an embodiment of the invention, a plurality of dielectric lines and a plurality of primary radiators are provided on a rotary unit. With the rotation of the rotary unit, the dielectric lines are switched ON and OFF by virtue of mechanical means, so that a desired change-over may be effected among the plurality of primary radiators in a time sharing manner, and the positions of the primary radiators may be shifted within a plane of the focal point of a dielectric lens, thereby enabling the transmission wave beam and/or reception wave beam to scan in a desired manner.

    摘要: An intersect-line apparatus has two conductor plates. An HE-mode dielectric resonator and four dielectric strips to be coupled to the resonator are disposed between the two conductor plates. The adjacent four dielectric strips are spaced from each other substantially at 90 degrees. Accordingly, signals propagating in two strip lines positioned substantially at 180 degrees and signals propagating in the remaining two strip lines cross each other within the dielectric resonator without interfering with each other.
