In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a module configured to transmit a data transmission on the uplink data channel, and an uplink scheduling and signal generating module configured to select random access parameters for a random access procedure and schedule the data transmission using the random access parameters for the random access procedure. The uplink scheduling and signal generating module is also configured to interrupt the data transmission after a predetermined time interval if the apparatus does not receive a permission signal from a network element during the predetermined time interval.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for defining terminal behavior in a case where the terminal detects that it cannot receive the HS-DSCH from a serving cell reliably when the DCCH is mapped to HS-DSCH (e.g. does not receive any radio link control (RLC) acknowledged mode feedback for the uplink measurement reports or in general the common pilot channel (CPICH) level drops too low in the serving HS-DSCH cell). The terminal is autonomously moved to a cell forward access channel (CELL_FACH) state and uplink signaling is initiated on a random access channel (RACH) to inform a network node and ask for HS-DSCH re-establishment in a suitable cell (preferably in the one being strongest one in the active set or according to the measurements done prior the connection from the serving HS-DSCH cell was lost), or setting up a regular R′99/R′5 DPCH in order to restore the RRC signaling connection in the CELL_DCH state.

    摘要: This invention addresses the problem of latency of response regarding information relying on an IMEISV from a CN. This is possible by defining the early RRC connection bits' indication to determine the supported signalling schemes and providing the IMEISV information from the terminal to the network. After this point the CN is able providing this mapping information to the radio access network before actual radio links are utilized. The idea here is for early RRC message information to be used for indicating what version of bitmap correction terminal capabilities refers to and what procedures can be utilized while waiting for this bit map information from the CN. Using this approach the length of the early RRC message can be kept short, the content of corrections can be well defined saving signalling bits, and the concern of a fast available indication on the connection set-up phase can still be addressed.

    摘要: The method according to the invention is intended to be applied in a situation where the power level of the signals transmitted by that mobile network to which the terminal is connected sink below predetermined threshold levels. Then the terminal is arranged to measure the power levels of signals transmitted by the base stations of at least one second system. The method according to the invention comprises advantageously steps in which the cellular radio system at first transmits to the terminal at least one threshold value. Then the terminal measures the strength of the signal transmitted by at least one base station and compares the measured signal strength with said threshold value. If the signal strength of the received signal is lower than said threshold value the transmission mode is changed to a mode where the measurement of the signals of a second system can be performed. A terminal according to the invention comprises advantageously means with which the steps of the method presented above can be performed.
