A tubular heating element for heating fluid media, in particular for household appliances, comprising a jacket pipe inside which there is disposed at least one heating coil made of an electrical resistance heating wire and embedded in an electrical insulation material, the heating coil having a first and a second terminal portion by means of which the heating coil is connected to a source of current via at least one connection element at each end, and at least one operating portion extending between the two terminal portions of the heating coil. It is further specified that the diameter of said heating coil increases at at least one terminal portion in the direction of the operating portion.

A flow though heater device comprising a fluid tube carrying a fluid to be heated, a tubular heating element extending at least partially parallel and in thermal contact with the fluid tube, wherein the tubular heating element comprises a profiled casing tube and at least one heating coil mounted in a tubular portion of said profiled casing tube. The profiled casing tube further comprises at least one tab portion laterally protruding from the tubular portion and being wrapped around the fluid tube, wherein the assembly of the fluid tube and the tubular heating element has an approximately helical shape so that the tubular portion of the casing tube is positioned with respect to the helix radially inside of the fluid tube.

A fluid heater of the continuous flow type, comprising a fluid channel having a first fluid channel section (35), at least one substantially cylindrical metal pipe (2), a heating device (6) preferably having two tubular heating elements (6a, 6b) spaced apart from each other over equidistant circumferential sections of the metal pipe, and heat conducting means for providing a heat-conducting connection to the metal pipe (2), wherein a fluid guiding core (30) made of plastic is disposed in the metal pipe (2) and forms the first fluid channel section (35) between the metal pipe and the fluid guiding core (30), wherein the first fluid channel section (35) runs substantially helically in the form of a groove in an outer surface of the fluid guiding core, and wherein the fluid channel has a first fluid connector for fluid supply means and a second fluid connector for fluid discharge means, wherein the fluid guiding core (30) further comprises a substantially coaxial second fluid channel section (34) disposed therein, which is connected in series to the first fluid channel section (35). In the region of a first end of the metal pipe (2), a fluid connector assembly may be provided which includes both the first fluid connector (24a) and the second fluid connector (24b), such that fluid is supplied and discharged in the region of the same end faces of the metal pipe (2). It is further provided that the connection unit is also surrounded by the insulating material within the tubular casing to the closure bead and the closure bead is, at its outside, provided with at least one filling slot which extends over its entire axial length.
