    摘要: The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented systems and methods for wireless communication via proximity detection. The method may include determining, by a computer via a plurality of induction coils in a proximity transponder, a magnetic field emitted from a base station. The computer may include one or more processors, a radio transceiver, and the proximity transponder. The method may also include transmitting, by the proximity transponder to the base station in response to the magnetic field, identification information. Additionally, the method may include receiving, from the base station, a verification of the identification information. The method may also include establishing, by the radio transceiver based at least in part on the verification, a radio connection with the base station.

    摘要: Techniques are disclosed involving reconfigurable coils. Such coils may be used in applications, including (but not limited to) wireless charging and near field communications (NFC). For instance, a reconfigurable coil may include a first conductive portion and a second conductive portion. Two or more configurations may be established. These configurations may correspond to particular current paths. For example, in a circular configuration, a path is provided having the same rotational sense in both first and second conductive portions. However, in a figure eight configuration, a path is provided having a first rotational sense in the first conductive portion and a second rotational sense in the second conductive portion. A switch coupled between these portions may set the coil's configuration. Configurations may be selected based on one or more operating conditions involving the coil.

The method includes providing substantially equally surface currents on both arms of an antenna structure to generate a near-horizontal pattern in far-field at a lower frequency band, providing greater surface currents on the right arm to generate a far-field pattern with a large horizontal component at a higher frequency band, and providing greater surface currents on the left arm to generate an asymmetric far-field pattern at a middle frequency band.

    摘要: A balanced antenna is integrated into a wireless mobile device, such as a laptop computer, for improved antenna reception. The antenna is connected to a radio frequency (RF) interconnection cable. A balun is disposed between the antenna and the cable. By using a balanced antenna, the fraction of the noise produced by the motherboard and display of the wireless mobile device that is captured by the antenna is significantly reduced compared to that captured by an unbalanced antenna, and thus not captured by the antenna.
