    Abstract: A steering system for steering a heavy haul trailer dolly comprising a turntable mounted on the dolly for connecting to another trailer unit. The dolly comprising a main frame, a wheel group mounted to the main frame, and a pivot frame mounted to the main frame between the turntable and the wheel group. A counter-steering linkage connects the pivot frame and the turntable. Hydraulic cylinders connect the pivot frame and the wheel group. To automatically steer the dolly, the hydraulic cylinders are locked in length. Rotation of the turntable in one direction causes the pivot frame and the wheel group to rotate in the opposite direction. To steer the dolly directly, the hydraulic cylinders are operated to extend and retract, pushing and pulling against the pivot frame and turntable to rotate the wheel group.

    Abstract: An expandable multiple-axle trailer has a trailer wheel carriage with left and right sub-carriages having corresponding forward-extending sub-carriage extensions, the front ends of which define sub-carriage extension tongues laterally movable within slots in a first transverse trailer structure member while being constrained against longitudinal and vertical movement relative to the trailer, while intermediate regions of the sub-carriage extensions are correspondingly laterally movable within fulcrum slots in a second transverse trailer structure member aft of the first transverse member. The trailer wheel carriage incorporates actuation means for transitioning the trailer wheel carriage assembly between laterally-retracted and laterally-expanded configurations. The slots in the first and second transverse members define guide surfaces angularly oriented such that transitioning to the expanded configuration will alter the longitudinal pitch of the trailer wheel carriage to raise the rearmost axle relative to the forwardmost axle, and vice versa when transitioning to the retracted configuration.

    Abstract: An improved articulated heavy haul trailer combination comprises a trailing accessory vehicle such as a booster coupled to a main trailer by a coupling. The coupling includes a horizontal hinge, a vertical hinge that allows the trailing accessory vehicle to yaw in a horizontal plane, a spreader extending between the hinges and a hydraulic piston and cylinder. A turn sensor mounted on said combination detects yawing, and a controller reduces the piston and cylinder's downward biasing force on the coupling.

    Abstract: An adaptable wind blade clamp for securely fastening and supporting a wind turbine blade during transportation. Walking beams are pivotably coupled to inner sides of the wind blade clamp jaws, and pads which contact the wind turbine are pivotably coupled to ends of the walking beams, resulting in a wind blade clamp which easily adjusts to the varying cross-sectional profiles of the wind turbine blade along its length. The wind blade clamp is optionally provided with an edge walking beam and edge pads to support and protect the leading edge of the wind turbine blade.

    Abstract: A unitized hydraulic suspension system for a tandem front and back two-axle group comprises two pivoting arms, each for supporting one of the two axles, arranged on opposite sides of a common rigid hanger.
