Abstract: This invention relates to a high precision biopsy instrument which is self-cutting and self-retrieval in nature and includes a camera and a fiber-optic light configured for obtaining the biopsy tissue. The biopsy instrument with the incorporation of vertical and horizontal cutting blades is configured to obtain the biopsy tissue with minimum architectural tissue damage. The camera in the biopsy instrument is used to facilitate capturing photographs of the potentially malignant disorders and malignant neoplasms for the purpose of diagnosis as well as video graph the same for the purpose of determining the exact site of biopsy through tele-conferencing between surgeons and pathologists. The pictures obtained during the procedures can be used for documentation purpose. The present invention also includes a fiber optic light for illumination of the operating site as it creates less colour variation.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for a system to extract description of reference numerals in images and facilitate keyword-based search in images. In various examples, the system may include one or more databases, a computer readable memory, and one or more processors. The system may be configured to extract one or more reference numerals from an image, and identify and extract corresponding description of the one or more reference numerals from a description document corresponding to the image. The system may be further configured to extract text from the images, and store the images in a database with the extracted data, i.e., text, reference numerals, and corresponding descriptions. The system may be further configured to receive an input query intending to search images related to a search logic of the input query, search a database to identify an image including either of text or a reference numeral having a corresponding description that corresponds to the search logic of the input query, and render the identified image via a display device executing the output interface.

Abstract: A method for constructing a spiral tube support apparatus used in countercurrent chromatography, improvements to countercurrent chromatography tube support design, and methods of using the improved countercurrent chromatography apparatus are described. The spiral tube support apparatus may be constructed by a shape forming process such as a three dimensional printing process that in turn uses a laser sintering technique, and can be made out of any easily formed material. Shape changes on both the tube support and the top improve the performance of the tube support and ease of manufacturing. The improved tube support and new method of creation permit use in both micro or macro scale preparations and use in small or large molecule preparations. In particular, specific solvent systems are described that permit purification of proteins.
