    摘要: A barre chord device can include a strip of rubber, elastomeric or other resilient material with heat formed creases and protruding shims. A guitar player attaches the strip at discrete places to the index finger of his fretting hand. When the guitar musician performs a barre chord, the strip concentrates barre force to the strings. Shims press into the concave mid-finger keeping the strip straight on a string side to provide uniform barre pressure. Muscular effort is minimized. Creases cause the strip to fold neatly to a thumb side when the index finger is curled to perform non-barre chords and scales.

    摘要: A refrigeration system includes a compressor; a condenser; an expansion valve having a body with an expansion valve inlet and an expansion valve outlet; an evaporator all arranged in a refrigeration circuit; and a controller. The expansion valve body has a pathway comprising an inlet body capillary tube flow-connected to the expansion valve inlet, and an outlet body capillary tube flow-connected to the expansion valve outlet. The expansion valve comprises a solenoid operated valve element that is selectively positionable between the inlet body capillary tube outlet and the outlet body capillary tube inlet. The controller digitally controls the valve element to position the valve element either to allow flow through the pathway in an open position or to block flow through the pathway in a closed position.

    摘要: A wet scrubber apparatus has a housing with access doors and guides that allow for the installation of self-contained baffle modules. Selected baffle modules can to be inserted, exchanged, removed or left blank (no baffles) within the wet scrubber housing, depending on the desired process. The wet scrubber allows for variable performance and feature-enhancing for a target efficiency and effectiveness. The wet scrubber can incorporate a pump and pipe manifold “fluidizer” design that can spray water or fluid up onto the modules during operation of the wet scrubber to keep collected material off the baffles. Water can be sprayed throughout the modules onto the baffles during operation, or when the scrubber is offline, isolated from the gas to be scrubbed, during a cleaning operation. This water or fluid can come from an outside source or can be piped and valved to recirculate existing scrub water or fluid.

    摘要: A method of controlling a rotary engine is disclosed. The rotary engine includes a shroud surrounding a rotor. The rotor carries a combustion chamber spaced from an axis of rotation of the rotor. A pressure activated valve is located between the combustion chamber and obliquely arranged exhaust nozzles. An ECU controls the combustion cycle of the engine based on a signal from a pressure sensor in the combustion chamber. The electronic control responds to the pressure signal from the pressure sensor to open a fuel control valve, to fire a spark plug and cause combustion of the fuel within the combustion chamber, and to thereafter open an air control valve to purge the combustion chamber of exhaust gasses.

    摘要: A method of hybridizing an FPA having an IR component and a ROIC component and interconnects between the two components, includes the steps of: providing an IR detector array and a Si ROIC; depositing a dielectric layer on both the IR detector array and on the Si ROIC; patterning the dielectric on both components to create openings to expose contact areas on each of the IR detector array and the Si ROIC; depositing indium to fill the openings on both the IR detector array and the Si ROIC to create indium bumps, the indium bumps electrically connected to the contact areas of the IR detector array and the Si ROIC respectively, exposed on a top surface of the IR detector array and the Si ROIC; activating exposed dielectric layers on the IR detector array and the Si ROIC in a plasma; and closely contacting the indium bumps of the IR detector array and the Si ROIC by bonding together the exposed dielectric surfaces of the IR detector array and the Si ROIC. Another exemplary method provides a pillar support of the indium bumps on the IR detector array rather than a full dielectric layer support. Another exemplary method includes a surrounding dielectric edge support between the IR detector array and the Si ROIC with the pillar supports.

    摘要: A cigarette tube or cone filling device includes a tray for holding a supply of, tobacco, smokable herbs or other material, with an outlet opening, and a cartridge for holding a cigarette tube or cone in a vertical orientation with the cigarette having an open end beneath the outlet opening. A cap can be fit over the cartridge and above the open end of the cigarette tube or cone with a nozzle for fitting into the open end to hold the open end open during filling. The tray has a slide retainer that receives horizontal top flanges or plates of the cartridge and the cap to hold both cartridge and cap tightly together and tightly to the tray, with the nozzle in registry with the outlet opening.
