摘要: The invention relates to a method for operating an ammonia cooling circuit of an ammonia synthesis plant for preventing pressure variations in the cooling circuit due to varying load or outlet temperatures, wherein the method comprises: iii-1) adapting the liquid level of condensing ammonia inside the ammonia condensing unit of the cooling circuit according to the pressure of the compressed ammonia vapor stream, in which the ammonia condensing unit is a tube-shell heat exchanger; and/or iii-2) adapting the flow of cooling medium to the ammonia condensing unit according to the pressure of the compressed ammonia vapor stream of the cooling circuit; and/or iii-3) adapting the temperature of cooling medium directed to the ammonia condensing unit by recycling a portion of the cooling medium return stream. The invention relates also to an ammonia cooling circuit arranged for carrying out the method, its use for revamping an ammonia synthesis plant into a green ammonia synthesis plant, and an ammonia synthesis plant comprising the ammonia cooling circuit.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a process for production of a hydrocarbon fraction from an oxygenate feedstock, comprising the steps of providing a process feed comprising an amount of an ammonia precursor, hydrogen and an amount of oxygenates at a temperature above 200° C., directing said process feed to contact a material catalytically active in hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) under hydrotreating conditions to provide a hydrodeoxygenated intermediate product, wherein said ammonia precursor provides an amount of ammonia corresponding to a partial pressure of NH3 in the presence of said material catalytically active in hydrodeoxygenation being at least 0.1 mbar, This has the associated benefit that the ammonia precursor releases ammonia by thermal reaction, such that the presence of ammonia may limit the extent of formation of high boiling product in the hydrodeoxygenation process.

摘要: Process for producing methane or methanol, said process comprising the steps of: i) conducting a solid renewable feedstock to a thermal decomposition step, this being a pyrolysis step or a hydrothermal liquefaction step, for producing: a first off-gas stream comprising hydrocarbons, a solid carbon stream, and optionally a first liquid oil stream; upgrading the first off-gas stream by conducting it to a hydro/deoxygenation (HDO/DO) step i.e. hydrodeoxygenation or deoxygenation step in which said HDO/DO step is conducted in the absence of steam, and a subsequent separation step, for generating water, a second liquid oil stream and an upgraded first off-gas stream; ii) conducting the first off-gas stream or the upgraded first off-gas stream to an olefin removal step, for generating a further upgraded first off-gas stream which is free of olefins; iii-1) conducting the first off-gas stream, or the upgraded first off-gas stream, or the further upgraded first off-gas stream, to a methanation step under the generation of steam for producing said methane; or iii-2) conducting the first off-gas stream, or the upgraded first off-gas stream, or the further upgraded first off-gas stream, to a steam reforming step for producing a methanol synthesis gas and subsequently conducting the methanol synthesis gas to a methanol synthesis step under the generation of steam for producing said methanol; iv) conducting steam, such as at least a portion of the steam generated in step iii-1) or iii-2), to an electrolysis step for producing an oxygen stream and a hydrogen stream; v) conducting at least a portion of the hydrogen stream from the electrolysis step to any of the: thermal decomposition step including HDO-step, olefin hydrogenation step, methanation step, methanol synthesis step, or combinations thereof.

摘要: Process for producing a hydrocarbon product, said process comprising: i) passing a feedstock originating from a renewable source and/or from a fossil source through a hydroprocessing step for producing a main hydrotreated stream; said hydroprocessing step comprising: passing the feedstock through one or more catalytic hydrotreating units under the addition of hydrogen for producing a first hydrotreated stream; passing the first hydrotreated stream to a first separation step comprising the use of a separation unit for particularly removing the impurities H2S, CO, CO2 and H2O; withdrawing from said first separation step an overhead stream and separating an overhead hydrocarbon liquid stream thereof which is passed as a reflux stream to said first separation unit; withdrawing from said first separation step a bottom stream and passing at least a portion of said bottom stream to a dewaxing step comprising the use of one or more catalytic hydrotreating units under the addition of hydrogen for producing said main hydrotreated stream; and ii) passing the main hydrotreated stream to a second separation step for producing said hydrocarbon product.
